Keith brushed a few muffin crumbs off the plastic counter, which happened to be the last of the trash he had to clean up for his final shift of the day. Keith absolutely couldn't wait to go home and watch movies with Pidge, especially after this long day of work with rude customers and coffee machine malfunctions.

Just when Keith thought his shift was over and he and his cousin could go to their apartment, the doorbell rang. Another customer. Great.

Despite his frustration, Keith put on a friendly face as the teenage customer approached the counter. He had tan skin, hazelnut colored hair and ocean blue eyes, along with a shiny, adorable smile, causing Keith to immediately fall head over heels, which he didn't do often.

Just as the customer arrived at the counter, Pidge exited the break room, probably expecting to leave before she spotted the customer and Keith. Instead of looking annoyed and lecturing the young customer about open hours and closed hours, she sat back, watching Keith and the customer interact with excitement.

"Hello! Sorry, am I too late?" The customer greeted Keith. His voice is so cute . . . and he's polite too!

"No, not at all! My name's Keith, what can I get for you?" Keith smiled, trying not to let himself blush - and if he was, he was trying not to let it show.

The boy glanced at the menu. "I would like . . . a regular, black, coffee. No sugar, not cream, just the coffee as pure as you can get it, please." The boy nodded. "For Lance McClain, as well."

"That's a lovely name. Your order should be ready in a moment!" Keith stated, hurrying into the back to go prepare his order. Soon after, Pidge followed him, probably to tease him about his obvious crush on the customer.

"Sooooo . . . you and Lance, huh?" Pidge nudged Keith in the rib cage. "Ya know that he goes to our school, right?"

Keith just huffed and continued making the teenage boy his coffee order. Pidge playfully rolled her green eyes.

"If you don't start talking, I'm gonna tell the whole school and the entire staff about your incident in second grade!" Pidge smirked. She really knew how to push his buttons.

"Fine, fine. But you really know how to get what you want, don't you?" Keith raised an eyebrow suggestively.

"I have my ways." Pidge responded, an 'it's simple' tone of voice. "Anyway, get on with it. I wanna know and propose to him for you."

Keith stifled a laugh as he continued to make the coffee, which was taking an abnormal amount of time. "Okay, okay. I just think he's kinda cute, that's all." Keith lied. Keith thought that this boy was more than just cute.

"Your nose twitches when you lie." Pidge commented slyly. Keith silently cursed his body language and sighed, continuing to rant on how ridiculously hot the boy was.

Apparently he was on the football team, which was convenient because he just happened to be one of the cheerleaders. And Pidge was well acquainted with this Lance boy, so that could be a way to get closer to him.

Finally, the coffee was done. His coworkers and classmates were coming out of the break room then they could all crash at their apartment and watch movies. It was a Saturday night.

"Thank you!" Lance smiled and took the coffee, paid, and left. Keith was definitely head over heels in love.

As Keith and his friends cleaned up, he noticed a small, slightly torn slip of paper. In all capital letters, it read: "FOR KEITH: CALL ME. XXX-XXX-XXXX." Keith was a blushing mess.

"KEITH KOGANE HAS A HUGE CRUSH ON LANCE MCCLAIN!" Pidge shouted as she walked past him and read the note that Lance had left. All of his friends who worked at the coffee shop rushed over to him and overwhelmed him with questions. But Keith could take it.

He was going to have Lance, after all.
