what's wrong with me?

Lupus?

"How about after work we watch a film and order a pizza?" I asked my brother Flynn as he shuffled his cards

"Yeah, sounds good. pick a card" he held the cards facedown towards me, I went to grab one but my vision suddenly went blurry

"Emma, are you ok?"

"Emma answer me"

I couldn't answer, i couldn't speak. then I blacked out.

"911 what's your emergency"

"My sister she's  passed out and wont respond"

(cue house intro)

"34 year old female, pretty good health record, has asthma but that's it, sudden onset of blurred vision then passes out, complained of headache, blurred vision, dizziness, muscle weakness and has high blood pressure" thirteen presented.

Foreman, Taub, park and Adams all looked at each other.

"Diabetes?" questioned Park

"No her blood sugars would be high" responded House

"Inner ear infection, would explain the headache and dizziness but not the other symptoms" Taub explained.

"Lupus?" questioned Adams

House glared at her from across the room

"It's never Lupus" he replied in a rough tone

"Actually House if you look at her family, her brother is Flynn the magician we had a while back who got diagnosed with lupus so it could be" Foreman snakingly commented

House picked up Emma's file and skimmed over the pages.

"Park, Adams check for lupus, the rest of you search her home"

And with that House limped out.

*Emma's point of view*

"What ever it is, I'll look after you dont worry" Flynn said as he held my hand

"Thanks, I'm just a bit worried" I replied, a small tear rolling down my cheek, Flynn brushed it away with his thumb just as too doctors entered.

"Hi I'm Doctor Adams this is Doctor park we'd like to run a few tests seeing as there's lupus in our family we want to check if you might have it" A dark haired woman now known as Adams explained

"My brother Flynn has lupus, could I have it too?" I asked looking from Doctor Adams  to Flynn. 

"It's possible, that's why we want to run a few tests" replied Doctor Park with a small smile.

"We're going to do blood tests, Chest X-Ray, Echocardiogram" Doctor Adams made clear.

Doctor Park took a couple of samples of my blood, then I had to get ready for a chest x-ray. I was moved onto another bed and Flynn kissed the top of my head before I left.

As Doctor Adams was wheeling me down the hallway she spoke.

"Your brother seems very nice, I wasn't working here when he was admitted but I've read his file"

"It's always been me and Flynn. he's always looked after me because mum and dad weren't really there, they both worked away a lot so it was always me and Flynn" I replied half explaining our life story.

She pushed me into the x-ray room and moved the machine so it was over my chest. she took a couple of pictures.

She pushed me out of the room and back along the hallway to my hospital room, Flynn jumped up from his seat when I came in.

"Everything ok?" he asked Doctor Adams

"We need to wait for the results so I cant say anything as of yet" she replied and Flynn held my hand.

*readers point of view*

 House limped along the corridor towards the elevators, just as he was about the press the button his name was called and he tuned around to see who was disturbing him. 

"Doctor House"

"Flynn, have you grown up and stopped doing magic yet?" House joked

"Very funny, my sisters here and I was wondering if your team were on her case?" Flynn asked concerned

"Ah yes, my team thinks its lupus although I dont think it is" House replied

"Why do you not think its lupus ?"

"Because its never lupus" retorted House

"That's what you said about me and I have it" Flynn smirked

"That's an exception" House said as he turned back to the elevator

"Thank you for taking her case Doctor House" Flynn said as House stepped into the elevator.

As Flynn was waking back to Emma's room nurses were rushing in so he started running.

"She's seizing" he heard Doctor Park shout.

"What's going on?" he questioned as he came in.

Adams held him back

"She's having a seizure, has she ever had one before?" Adams asked

"No no. Is she going to be ok?" he asked tears falling down his face

"Honestly I dont know, the tests came back... its not lupus!"
