*Flynn's point of view*
Doctor Adams told me that its not lupus so I'm guessing its something worse, currently she's working with her team to find out what's wrong with Emma.
She hasn't woken up from her seizure yet but Doctor Park said she should soon. I was reading a magazine when she started to wake up.
"Emma!" I jumped up from my seat and went over to the side of her bed. I held her hand as she looked at me.
"Flynn what happened?" she asked slightly scared
"you had a seizure and they don't think its lupus... I'm sorry emma" I explained what the doctors had said to me.
*Emma's point of view*
I was about to reply when a man with a walking stick came into my room.
Flynn stood up from.
"Doctor House!" Flynn seemed slightly excited to see him.
"Flynn, who's this?" I asked trying not to sound too rude.
"This is Doctor House, he diagnosed me with Lupus. Hopefully he knows what's wrong with you" he replied as he sat back down on the edge of my bed.
Doctor House walked from the door to the side of my bed.
He looked rugged, a stubble on his face, a face that knew so much, so much knowledge and so much pain judging by his limp. His eyes could tell a thousand stories, one of happiness. Ones of sadness. He had seen so much yet seen so little, confined to the safety of his mind a place he knew so well. His jaw was set tightly as he fished a bottle of pills from his jacket.
His jacket, slightly worn with a few strands of thread escaping the buttons and around the pockets, its clear to see he wore the jacket often as the wear marks around the neck and wrists. Underneath the jacket he wore a crinkled shirt, obviously thrown on in a hurry judging by the fact it wasn't ironed. Peaking out from under the collar of his shirt was a t-shirt with an indistinctive logo.
He popped the top of the bottle off and slid three pills out,
Put them in his mouth and swallowed.
"last time I was here you were on two, is the pain getting worse?" Flynn asked genuinely concerned
"no I just hate magicians" House replied with a fake smile.
Suddenly I had a sharp ringing in my ears almost like a fire alarm was inside my head, I grabbed my ears to try and block the noise but it made no difference, one second I could hear my brother asked if I was ok, the next I couldn't hear anything.
I signed to my brother that I couldn't hear.
"What did she say" questioned House
"she said she cant hear anything, one second her ears were buzzing and the next nothing" Flynn replied clearly upset.
"Vision problems, Headache, balance, dizziness, ringing ears and high blood pressure." House was listing off her problems, he grabbed his cane and limped out of the room to his office as fast as he could.
He burst through the ddx doors and the team all turned to look at him.
"House?" Thirteen questioned
"its an Acoustic Neuroma" he replied a bit breathless
"The symptoms would fit, i'll take her for a MRI" Taub said as he stood up to make his way towards Emma's room.
I was playing cards with my brother when a Doctor walked in
"Hello I'm Doctor Taub I'm a member of House's team, we think you might have an Acoustic Nuermoma judging by your symptoms,we need to take your for a MRI to diagnose"
"Wha whats a Acousit Neuroma?" my brother stuttered to say
"An Acoustic Neuroma is a type of beningn brain tumour that grows on the nerve for hearing and balance, depending on how big it is we can remove it with surgery"
Doctor Taub explained
I took a deep breath in to try and calm myself
"So a brain tumour but beingn means its non cancerous" i half repeated what Doctor Taub said and Flynn looked at me with shock and sadness in his eyes.
"We need to take you for a MRI now then we will see if you need surgery or not, Flynn we will be about an hour so if you want to get some food or anything you have time" Doctor Taub said with a small smile
Flynn stood up from my bed and gave me a massive hug, and kissed my forhead.
"Can you ring mum?" i asked with a small tear escaping my eye.
"Sure" he replied as i was wheeled out of the room for my scan.
*Flynn's point of view*
I walked out of her room and down the corridor the elevators.
I decided I would try and eat something in the cafateria, I walked in and grabbed a sandwhich, paid and sat down at a table.
Half way through my sandwhich House sat down at the table.
"Your sister will be fine, if she's anything like you she's strong" he smirked as he sipped from his cola
"It's always been me and her, I don't know what I would do without her" I said as I wipped the corner of my mouth
"An Acoustic Neuroma is not life threatning, she may lose her hearing for a bit if she has to have surgery but it will return in time, most Neuroma's are small and we don't take then out unless they are big, they grow over a corse of years so it depends how big hers is" House explained trying to calm me down.
I thanked him and he left, I continued to eat the rest of my sandwhich then see if Emma was back.
