I've tried to become like the protagonist in every 90's and 2000's movie: the unsuspecting nerd/geek underdog. I believe I've achieved that. So where's my superhero to sweep me off my feet? Thus far, I'm not sure that mine exists. I see the girl that meets a boy that doesn't know he's about to fall in love with the girl, but inevitably does anyway because that's the way it works.
Stupid fiction; it always gets my hopes up, just to let me down again.
