I am doing a one-shot inspired by Taylor Swifts song "You Belong With Me". Toby is dating Yvonne and spencer is single.

you're on the phone with your girlfriend she's upset she's going off about something that you said. She doesn't get your humor like i do.

Spencer was sitting in her room studying. her house right across from her crush, Toby Cavanaugh. she liked him since 8th grade but he doesn't feel the same way....

i'm in my room it's a typical Tuesday night. I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like and she'll never know your story like i do.

little did Spencer know, Toby did feel the same way about her but he never had the courage to tell her. Now he's dating some New York chick, Yvonne.

but she wears short skirts, i wear T-shirts, she's cheer captain and i'm on the bleachers, dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what your looking for has been here the whole time.

she had her window and curtains completely open and she didn't notice that Toby was staring at her.

she looked up and both him and Spencer blush hard.

she turned on some music and started dancing around like here was no tomorrow. Toby looks up and smiles as he watches her dance.

the next morning, Spencer gets up and gets ready for school.

walkin' the streets with you and your worn-out jeans. i can't help thinkin' this is how it ought to be, laughing on a park bench thinking to myself....

she walks to the bus stop and sees Toby there. she sits down and talks to him. they laugh and smile until, Yvonne's car pulls up. she motions Toby to get in.

hey isn't this easy? And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town. i haven't seen it in a while since she bought you down,

Spencer sees Toby sitting at the cafeteria table alone. she walks over to him and ask him if he's fine.

you say you're fine, i know you better than that.  what you doing with a girl like that?

the school finally held up a football game. Toby was on the football team with Yvonne on the cheerleading team while Spencer is in the band.

she wears high heels, i wear sneakers, she's cheer captain and i'm on the bleachers, dreaming about the day when you wake up and find...

it was the day of the football game. Toby played quarterback. Spencer was cheering for Toby. Toby heard from the distance and looked at her and smiled.

that what you're looking for has been here the whole time if you can see that i'm the one who understands you been here all alone so why can't you see...

Toby's team won. he walked up to Yvonne to find her flirting with Noel Khan.

she claims she's not flirting and just mind his own business.

it was prom night the last dance for seniors.

spencer looked out her window and found toby all dressed up in a suit getting ready for the dance.

he asked if she was going and she said no due to studying for exams. he wanted her to come.

standing by waiting at your back door, all this time how could you not know baby...

oh i remember you driving by my house in the middle of the night. i'm the one who makes you laugh when you're about to cry.

after Toby left Spencer decided hat she was going to go. she's not going to miss her prom.

she showed up in the gymnasium with her brown curls flowing beneath her shoulder, nice natural makeup, and a long, flowing, midnight blue dress.

everyone stepped out the way as she made her way to the dance floor. she found Toby's glance on her.

Toby makes his way over to Spencer when someone stopped him.... Yvonne

standing by waiting at your back door, all this time how could you not know baby

she asked where he was going and he told her that he found a new date. his date was going to be Spencer Hastings

Spencer and Toby both met up at the dance floor they looked at each other and smiled. He liked her for a long time but never showed it. Same with her.

they both lean in and their lips smash against each other's as they started slow dancing. the kiss was slow but passionate and meaningful.
