Chapter 5

They went to bed. Hours later, Laura awakes.She had a dream but this dream felt too real. She walks out her room and goes to the living room. She sits on the couch. She starts thinking about how this happened so soon. She knew it was coming but not this soon. She didn't even realize she was crying and shaking. She then heard a creek and froze. She then sensed a smell she has met just hours ago. Ross awoke. He walked towards hers and looked at her.

"Why are you up at 3 A.M and crying?" he asked. She looked at him and started crying again.

"I-I…… had a d-dream." She stutters.

"Dreams make people cry??" he asks confused." Look, I'm sorry to have woken you at a time like this. I just wanna be normal. I feel like one of those weird creatures people fiction. I had no idea I was "gifted" so they say. I found out a week ago and I am not happy. I feel like it is a gift and a curse but why did my family leave me all alone in that big house?" she was now sobbing her heart out. "They left while I was at school. I had a good day that day. I came home and nobody was there.My world came crashing down. They didn't even say goodbye. Why can't you take me to Agent Robert now so I can be normal?" She was now getting frustrated and she didn't even know why. She curved her hands into fists. Her eyes were starting to glow. Ross knew that look. She is getting frustrated and her frustration will lead to her to hurt someone and she'll regret it later. He walked towards her and put his hand on her shoulder. She was still not budging. Instead she seemed to be hurt and was dying on the inside. Her eyes were no longer white but now they turned red. "Oh no! She's getting angry", he thought. He picked her up and gently wrapped his arms around her from behind. She was resisting and pushing him away. This only caused him to hold her tighter. She backed up against the wall and freed one arm. She lifted it causing Ross to let go. She then moved so she could see him. She stares at him only for a split second before levatating him. He fought back and she tossed him to the other side. He now understood why her family is afraid of her. They only didn't care about themselves but for her safety. She stood there eye-ing him. She then went towards the kitchen. He quickly followed and finally managed to grab her. With her power, he was no match for her until he remembered how she was against the wall pinned by him, she managed to calm down. She ran towards the room. Before she got in it, he grabbed her hand and pinned her against the wall. She looked in his eyes and all she saw was desperation. She thought of nothing but him. He thought it wasn't working so he did what he thought would work. He kissed her. She stopped fighting and stood there. Her eyes returned to normal and he let go of her. He pulled away from her and suddenly he felt wozzy and light-headed. He stumbled backwards and falls to the ground. "Ross!!" She yelps. She lifts him and puts him on the couch. She then drags the first aid and tries to revive him. He seems to have fainted, but his face was pale white. She put her hand on his chest and felt his heart."It's still beating!" she whispered and sighed of relief. She put a wet towel to his head. "This is all my fault." She whispers. Ross grabs her hand." No, it's not."

She starts tearing. "I didn't want to hurt you but my mind was telling me something different. I'm so sorry." "It's okay as long as you don't do it again. I mean it!!!" he says sternly. She nods then without thinking about it, lays on top of him and hugs him.He hugs back. Soon enough they fall asleep like that.
