Wonder Woman - Princess of Themyscira

Chapter 10 - Final Battle

"I am Diana Prince. Princess of Themyscira. Known to man as... Wonder Woman." Diana declared as she charged at Cheetah.

Cheetah swiftly dove to the left and dodged Wonder Woman's charge.

Cheetah then jumped on the wall and hurled herself back towards Wonder Woman, slicing her arm slightly.

"You overestimate yourself." Wonder Woman said valiantly as she quickly recovered from the knick from Cheetah's claws and slammed her shield into Cheetah's face.

"Child!" Cheetah shouted as she ran on all fours towards Wonder Woman. She leaped towards Wonder Woman and tackled her.

The tackle caused Wonder Woman to drop her sword and shield.

Cheetah was on top of Wonder Woman, who was on her back. Cheetah had both hands gripped tightly on Wonder Woman's neck.

"You try to stop evolution!" Cheetah yelled angrily. "You cannot stop destiny!"

"Ah-" Wonder Woman tried to speak, but nothing came out.

"What is it?" Cheetah asked sarcastically.

"I may not be able to stop you... but he can." Wonder Woman replied as Steve ran into the room swiftly and shot Cheetah in the back several times until she collapsed.

"Diana!" He yelled as he ran to help her off the ground.

"Steve." She said as she grabbed his hand and stood up. They then shared a lengthy kiss.

"I love you." Diana said.

"I love you T- AGGH!" He yelled in pain.

Diana stepped away and saw Cheetah's claws sticking straight out of Steve's chest.

Steve's chest quickly became red with blood.

"NOOO!!!" Wonder Woman yelled in pain and sorrow as she fell to her knees. Tears running down her cheeks.

Cheetah retracted her claws and threw Steve down onto the ground.

"I told you. You can't stop it." Cheetah reminded Wonder Woman.

"Yes-- I CAN!" Wonder Woman yelled as she stood up and punched Cheetah repeatedly across the face and in the stomach.

Cheetah was then knocked to the floor, nearly unconscious.

"You took the only man in the world I loved away from me." Wonder Woman said angrily.

"What are you going to do about it, Amazon?" Cheetah asked. "I was one of you! You can't kill a fellow Amazon. Believe me, I can change! I truly was one of you."

"Was." Diana said angrily as she grabbed her sword and violently shoved it through Cheetah's chest.

It was done. Cheetah was defeated.

She turned to look outside to see all of the hybrids turning back to normal.

"Thank Hera." She said quietly. "Steve!" She yelled as she ran over to him.

"Diana.." Steve said softly.

"Steve please let me get some help!" She said as she began to cry again.

"No, Diana. It's okay. I love you and that will never change." Steve added.

"Steve please! I- I can't live without you!"

"Yes you can. I believe. For the first time in a long time I feel... I feel... free." Steve started. "A good death is its own reward."

Steve's head went limp and he took his last breath.

"Steve...? Steve...?" She asked softly.

She put her head down onto his and began to sob.

She carried Steve out to a nearby river that eventually led to a waterfall, and let him go. Slowly, he floated down the river. She stood and watched him fall down the waterfall.
