"Hey, did you hear? There's gonna be a new kid."

"A new kid in the middle of the school year? That's crazy! How are they gonna catch up?"

"Dunno, but I heard it's a guy."

"Oh my god, I hope he's cute."

I sighed as I overheard everything everyone's been saying. This 'new kid' has been the talk of the school for the whole day, and it wasn't even done yet.

I made my way through the crowds in the hallways, occasionally waving or giving small smiles to the ones that would give me recognition.

"Hey, Jaemin."

I chuckled. "Hey, Felix. What's up?"

"Nothing really, just hearing about the new kid." He replied, shrugging.

"Same here. Why aren't you with Changbin hyung? This is a first." I teased. "Did you guys fight or something?"

"Nah, I just don't know where he is."

We both laughed as we continued to walk to the cafeteria.

"Oh, there he is. He's with Minho and the rest." Felix pointed out. "I'll see you around, yeah?"

"Of course." I said as we both waved at one another, then I looked for my friends.

"Yah!" Someone shouted playfully as they jumped on me.

"Yah! Donghyuck— this is why I have back problems." I grumbled.

He laughed sheepishly.

"Alright, enough fooling around you two, let's go, I'm hungry." Mark said while touching his stomach.

"Is someone jealous?" Renjun teased.

"Psh, no." Mark replied, looking away.

"Lies." I sneered.

"Lies." Renjun mirrored.

"Can we just go?"

We all stopped teasing Mark as we headed to our table, taking our usual seats.

I looked around, noticing that nothing was different, but at the same time, people were still talking about the new kid.

He hasn't even arrived yet and he's one famous dude.

The class chatter died down as our teacher entered the room.

"Alright, I know that you all know about the new student moving." She started. "He'll be in this class."

"Do you think he'd be a douche?" Renjun whispered to me as he leaned forward, since I was in front of him.

"I hope not." I whispered back.

"So please give him a warm welcome."

She looked towards the door and gave a small smile.

"Come in."

As the boy entered, whispers quickly erupted and I felt my own eyes go wide.

"Introduce yourself, please."

The boy bowed and gave us a smile, and his smile seemed to form crescents in his eyes.

"Hi, I'm Lee Jeno. I hope you guys would take care of me."

Lee Jeno.

"Alright, Jeno, sit beside Jaemin. Jaemin, would you please raise your hand?"

It took a while for everything to register in my head, and when it finally did, I raised my hand slowly.

"There he is. Don't worry, he won't bite." Our teacher stated, laughing lightly.

"Thank you." Jeno said politely before making his way towards me as I put my hand down.

"Alright, now that that's out of the way, let's start class."

As our class started, I couldn't help but feel eyes on me, and I knew it wasn't Renjun since I felt comfortable under his gaze, but this gaze was different.

I risked looking at the new kid sitting beside me and I felt my heart pound against my chest.

He really was looking at me.

He stuck his hand out and quietly said;

"Hi, I'm Jeno."

I gave him a small smile before shaking my hand with his.

"I'm Jaemin."

Yes I'm adding the 00 line of SK too because I love them too heh, but they're most likely just side characters not major ones. And I'm debating if I should write a Changlix one too, or Minsung idk anyway
