"So how was it? Was he kind and all?"

I kicked some rock that was beside my foot, slightly smiling.

"Yeah, he was kind." I replied, nodding. "He was entertaining too."

Renjun chuckled. "That's exactly the same thing I told Donghyuck when you were new."

I looked at him in surprise and we both laughed.

"Sorry I didn't get to spend enough time with you two today." I apologized, looking back down to the ground.

"Jaemin, seriously," he said in mocked seriousness, "if you apologize one more time, I'm gonna ask Donghyuck to kick your ass."

"Mark would be there to stop him." I countered playfully.

He sighed and when I looked at him, he was stretching his arms.

"It's been a while since we've been here, huh?" He suddenly said, his voice soft.

I smiled once again and nodded. "It has been. This place holds a lot of memories for you and me."

We were in a park, near our houses. Renjun and I lived around ten minutes away from one another and when I was a new student, we'd go here to meet before we got in the bus to go to school. We still do that up to now.

He suddenly laughed.

"Remember that time you turned down the girl who was neighbors with you?"

My eyes widened as I reached out to swat at him, the chains of the swings getting in the way.

"I thought we'd never talk about that!" I pouted.

"Sorry! Sorry. It's just... she was pretty. I don't understand why you turned her down."

"I don't know either," I shrugged, "she was just a friend to me."

"Like I am to you?"

I looked at Renjun and saw a teasing smile on his face, though there seemed to be something off about it. As though it was somehow forced.

I hesitated a bit before answering.

"Uh, yeah," I said softly, looking away, "like you are."

"Jaemin!" Someone called out.

I whipped my head around and saw that Felix was with Changbin hyung, and they were both waving me over.

I smiled as I got to them, Changbin doing me a favor of ruffling my hair. I glared at him and he just playfully shrugged.

"So," Felix started, "I heard you toured the new kid around yesterday."

"Yeah, I did. And his name's Jeno. He might be your cousin or something, he's also a Lee." I joked and Felix rolled his eyes.

"Does he dance?" Changbin asked out of nowhere.

"Dunno." I shrugged. "We didn't really get to talk about one another."

"I'm not surprised." Felix teased.

The bell rang, signaling that our classes were gonna start. We said our goodbyes before heading to our respective classrooms. It was a shame that Felix was in a different section.

Just as I was about to enter my classroom, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and saw the notification.

Jeno: I may or may not have gotten... lost?

I chuckled lightly as I realized that I had almost forgotten that Jeno and I exchanged numbers yesterday.

As I turned, I almost bumped into Ms. Kim, who seemed to be a bit startled.

"Oh, Jaemin, sorry, I almost hit you." She apologized. "But where are you off to? Class is about to start."

The corners of my mouth lifted a bit as I explained.

"It seems that Jeno still needs a guide to get here."

"Oh!" She laughed. "In that case, you can go get him. You won't miss that much in the first half."

"Alright, thank you, Ms. Kim." I bowed to her respectfully before making my way down the hall.

I unlocked my phone and texted the lost boy.

Jaemin:
Huh, where are you?

Jaemin:
And if you say Neverland, I'm
changing my mind about
getting you.

Jeno:
Damn, you read
my mind

Jeno:
Honestly, I have no idea

Jeno:
I'm beside a classroom with a
sign that says multihall

I sighed, my eyes widening in surprise. What was he doing all the way in the other building of the university?

Jaemin:
Jeno, do you wanna tell me
what you're doing all
the way in the college wing

Jaemin:
Are you that excited? I get that
we're in our last year and all

Jeno:

Jeno:
Help me please? I'll
tell you on the way

Jaemin:
Alright, I'm on my way.
Stay still.

I put my phone away and headed off to the other wing.
