12 days later
I woke up with the sun in my face
"Babe go close the blinds" I groaned at Sophi
I still felt its hot rays beaming down on me after a few minutes passed
I reached beside me to only get a hand full of covers
"Sophi?" I said sitting up
No reply
"Sophi?" I repeated
Still nothing
I got up getting dressed then heard a squeal
Then the door burst open hitting me right in the face
"Nathan! Nathan! Nathan? Why are you on the floor?" she asked me
"Just laying down" I said getting up
"There's no time to be lazy" she said trying to pull me up but only falling on her butt in the processes
"Come on get up" she said trying to pull me up again
"What are you so excited about?" I asked still just sitting down on the floor.
"Okay well um....guess what!!!!" she said.
"Um....you realized you are very weak?" I said smiling
"Hey just because I can't pull you up doesn't make me weak Mr.Alpha" she said punching my shoulder.
"Alright I take it back" I said
"Its........a baby!!!" she said out of no where.
"What's a baby?" I asked confused.
"The surprise" she said.
"Oh" was all I said.
"Well?" she said smiling at me.
"Well what?" I asked.
"Aren't you excited" she asked me.
With the smile on her face and her emotions all happy I couldn't ruin that for her.
"Really? Wow that's great" I said.
"I can't wait" she said running out of the room.
"Me either" I said to myself.
*Earlier that day*
"A baby?" said Matt one of the pack members.
"Yeah and she's so happy about it" I said fixing his bike.
"Are you hoping for a boy?" he asked me.
"I don't think I really want a baby right now I only said that to her to make her feel better I mean we've always done stuff but a baby was never the outcome" I said.
"But having a little one isn't that bad" said Matt
"I just don't want Sophi to be over whelmed " I said.
"Or the baby getting more attention from her then you" he said.
"That too" I mumbled.
"You'll be okay alpha Nathan everything will then out just fine" he said
"I hope so" I said
Then I heard a scream
I ran outside quickly seeing a terrible sight
It was Ruby
She was one of our newest pack members but not anymore.
"What did they do to her?" asked Tatum
Blood covered her in a thick blanket as she laid on the ground
"I was just sitting here chopping wood when her body was thrown out in front of me" said Bobby one of our oldest pack members
"Let me take a look" I said bending down beside the lifeless body
With a closer look I realized her tongue was gone
They removed her tongue
I sprang back at the sight
"Nathan?" I heard Sophi say
The crowd made a path for her
"What's going on?" she whispered not seeing the body
"Just go to sleep baby I'll be there in a minute" I said
"But what's going on?" she said
"Oh its just a meeting Sophi nothing to worry about , hey how about we go look at some cute wallpaper for that room upstairs" said Rachael jumping in between us.
"Is everything okay though?" asked Sophi.
"Its all fine" said Rachael leading her back to the pack house.
"Who would have done this?" I said returning my gaze back to Ruby's body
"Alpha sir this was in Ruby's coat pocket" said bobby handing me a blood stained note
"Would you like a burger with that?"
"Jake" I said
"The other alpha?" said Justin
"Why would he trespass on our land?" asked Matt.
"Justin and Matt I want you to take turns guarding over night once Sophi is asleep I will help guard as well" I said walking back to the pack house.
"What am I going to do?" I whispered to myself.
