You watch me as I watch you.
Our eyes connected,
Daring each other to move.
I cock my eyebrow,
And you stare harder.
Neither of us want to break.
You cough lightly,
But your distraction fails.
Maybe this is enough,
But I don't dare open my mouth,
For fear of removing my eyes from yours.
You know,
I should've thought this through.
