Lonely

I am not lonely,
For my thoughts are keeping me company.
My thoughts of what you are doing right now,
And how it would be different if I had you here.
Would I still think about you constantly,
Or would my mind give you a second glance?
If you were next to me right now,
Would you embrace my cold in your warmth,
Or would we be filling the air with words?
Maybe if things were different,
I wouldn't want you at all.
Maybe I only want you,
For the sake of wanting what I can't have.
I am not lonely:
My aloneness is surrounding me.
