Chapter 3

Good Boy Luke's P.O.V

"Get up Bella!" I heard around the gym. Really? What is it? Probably some girl just being dramatic. This happened alot at my old school. Someone would act all hurt just to get attention, but with me, I had horrible anxiety, I couldn't help it.

"Too weak Bella?" I heard laughing. It was annoying. I turned my head. Reall- Oh crap. "Get away from her!!" What did you just get yourself into Hemmings? The girls immediately backed away. I ran up to her. She was shaking badly, I've never seen someone shake like that. I picked her up.

She looked up at me, then she turned away.

Great. All attention was on me.

Did she black out? What's her name uhh... c'mon Luke think. Bella! "Bella can you hear me? Bella!" I jerked her arm. Yea she's out. I gathered her up in my arms, and crashed her through the gym doors. Who is she, I don't even know her... where am I going? What am I doing?

I wandered through the empty halls with the passed out girl in my arms unsure where to go. I'll go up to the office!! If I can find it... I looked down the hall. There's a sign.. I squinted my eyes. 'Office' I walked the way towards it. Am I over reacting?

I trotted to the office. I opened the doors. I walked through. Nobody turned. "Excuse me!?" I chanted. This is bad. Someone turned their head. My heart went to my stomach. Their jaw dropped. C'mon Hemmings speak.

"She bla-blacked out in P.E." I managed to stutter.She nodded. "Bring her this way." She directed me with her hand. I nodded and walked that walked the direction she guided me to. God I hope she's okay. I know what it's like to be helpless.

I walked into the nurse's office with Bella in my arms. I put her down on the couch in there. Yea... I'm over reacting. Oh well. I sat in the chair next to the couch. I just sat and watched her. I sound like a creep.. Oh great. I sound like some creepy stalker. "Hi, what happened here?" I jumped. I looked up to see the nurse.

"Bella blacked out during P.E. I'm not sure what happened. There were a few girls surrounding her." She looked shocked. "That's Bella you say?" I nodded. "Great you got her out of there, she could have had a seizure, if she was out longer." But that's... not normal... "Are you a friend of Bella's?" Well I'm not sure. "She's in a few of my classes, I'm new."

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to step out, and go back to class." She walked over to a cabinet, opening it. I nodded.

I got up from the chair, I started to walk out, I turned and gave Bella one last look. She looked so peaceful. I turned back and walked out the door. I walked back through the office. Some of the office people glanced at me. I kept walking. I wonder how helpless she felt. I've felt like that before. You just feel like you're locked in.

I brushed that topic away. I better get back to gym. I walked out of the office door. How do I get back to gym? This is horrible. I stopped outside the office door. I'll find my way... hopefully. I continued walking. I reached the corner. I turned the corner and there was a good size group walking towards me. Slackers. Is that Luke? It can't be. But as I got closer and closer, the more he looked like Luke. He was with a fluffy green haired guy, a blonde guy, and a dark brown haired guy.

They walk really fast. Now they're right next to me. It is Luke! He glanced at me. Then he laughed coldly. Why is he with them..? I knew it. I knew he was going to be one of them. I learned something about him. Don't mess with him, don't get in his way, don't tell mum anything he does, and don't bother him. Things get bad when you do. Mum and I get so scared when he's mad. We get scared that he'll take his anger out on us. Great. I'm lost.

I was looking down at the ground. Wow how could I have been s-. Ouch! "Oww." I heard someone say. I was now on the ground. "I'm so sorry!" I said. I looked next to me to see a girl lying on the ground. I got up..I reached my arm out to help her up. "That's okay." She smiled taking my hand. "I feel bad now." She looked at me. "Don't." She smiled. "Oh sorry, I'm Kat." She smiled bigger.

I nodded. "I'm Luke." I half smiled. She giggled. "You seem nice Luke. Nice crashing into you."

I chuckled. "I'm sorry about that." I scratched the back of my neck. "That's okay. Are you lost?"

"Thank God you asked, I'm new to this school, and I'm looking for the gym." She nodded. "Okay follow me." She said taking my arm. I jumped. She pulled away. "I'm sorry, I'm a really clingy person." I frowned.

"No, no no! It's okay, I'm just not used to it." Kat nodded."Okay follow me?" She put her hand out. I nodded and took it. We walked through the halls. She was leading me. "Have you met Bella yet? I'm sure she'd like you. You seem nice." Kat asked looking back at me. I nodded in response. "I just took her up to the office, she blacked out." Kat looked shocked. I nodded. It was quiet for a while. We continued walking.

"I can introduce you to her formally if you'd like?" Kat broke the silence. I nodded and smiled. "That'd be great!" Is this happening? "Okay Luke, looks like you've got a friend on your hands." Kat smiled. I nodded and smiled. Kat looked at me wide eyed. "You've got dimples!!" I blushed and nodded. "Alright Luke. Here's the gym." She took out a pen and paper. "Here's my number, text me, so I can get in touch with you, for Bella. "

I nodded. "Thank you, Kat." I said taking the paper. "That's okay." She smiled. "And I'm sorry about crashing into you." She laughed. "It's okaay. I may have a bump on my head, but I also have a new friend." I nodded. "Bye Kat." I waved walking into the gym. "Bye Luke!" I heard before I walked into the gym.

Everybody was too busy to notice me. I put Kat's number in my pocket. Well Kat seems really nice. I walked back over to my basketball court. I hate P.E.

Kat's P.O.V

"Bye Luke!!" I chanted before Luke stepped into the gym. Well Luke seems lovely. Great guy for bringing Bella up there. Oh shit... I should probably go check on her. I turned back to go to the office. We have a big school. I turned a corner. I was playing with my purple fringe. Don't ask, I'm bored. I put my fringe back in place, and played with the bottom of my knee length dress. People make fun of my style, but honestly I don't see what's so bad about it, so I just brush it off.

I continued walking. I turned another corner to see my ex... Michael Clifford. I stopped dating him because all he wanted to do was have sex, and get drunk. I may look like a girl who does that, but I don't. Michael kept his eyes on me. He winked and said "Thanks for wearing a dress for me. It looks sexy." I rolled my eyes, and kept walking.

I turned another corner, and I was at the office. I walked through the first door. I walked into the office ladies smiling. "Kat!" They all said smiling. I giggled and waved. I walked through the office, I walked into the nurse's office. Bella was laying on the couch in there. "Hey Bella." I smiled.

Bella's P.O.V

Where am I? "Hey Bella!" I opened my eyes to see a smiling Kat. "Hi Kat." I smiled. "Who brought me up here?" Really, who did? "Oh yeah...that." Kat giggled. "Well?" I said. "Okay, his name is Luke. He has blonde hair, blue eyes?" My jaw dropped. "Luke, Luke Hemmings?" Kat shrugged. "I'm not sure." I playfully hit her arm. "You're no help."

She laughed. "Do you wanna hear the story, or don't ya?" I nodded desperately. "Well Luke crashed into me in the hall, he was lost, and I helped him to get to the gym, and I asked him if he knows you, and he told me that he brought you up here. I asked him if he wanted to meet you formally and.... He said.." I was wide eyed. "KAT TELL ME!" She laughed. "He said yes!!"

"Wait... did he have tattoos?" Kat shook her head no. "Not that I saw, why?" I shrugged. "You won't beleive me, but he has a twin that has tattoos and piercings." Kat looked at me wide eyed. "Really!!! He must be hot." Kat's more into the badboy image. Her jaw was practically on the floor. "Well I made a ne- a new friend." She managed to say. "Well I'm glad."

She smiled. "Kat why aren't you in class?" I asked. She looked down. "Uhh... Well I was coming back from the loo, and I crashed into Luke. And now I'm here.." I giggled. "Kat go back to class!" She laughed. "Alright. I'll see you later Bells. I love you." She said hugging me. "I love you too. Now get to class." Kat got up and headed out the door. "Bye love!!" She chanted. "Bye Kat!"
