"I'm sorry," he cried out and began to sob harder.

My brow furrowed in concern. "You have nothing to be sorry for."

"Ye- yes I do!" he wailed. "I am probably the worst student that you could probably have! I don't even know why you bother with me."

"Kakashi..." I trailed off. I didn't know that he had these pent up emotions. And the fact that he took off his mask in front of me showed that he had complete trust in me.

"Yo Bakashi," I heard Obito yell. I noticed that Kakashi tensed up and pulled up his mask. "Are you alri- oh..."

Obito's head popped through the door as he said the last sentence and he got a good look at Kakashi. He scratched the back of his head unsure of what to do.

"Is Kakashi alright Obito?" I heard Rin say. Her footsteps approached and she peeked through the door and saw the state that Kakashi was in. "I'm sorry sensei... Are you alright Kakashi."

I looked at Kakashi unsure of what he'll do. He looked like he'd seen a ghost. His features began to melt into nonchalance and he said, "I'm fine."

Kakashi's POV

There here. The traitor and the woman I killed are here. Alive. Okay Kakashi, calm down. Obito isn't the person he was in the future. It's obvious he's worried about me by the face he is giving me. Rin as well. Calm down and act like I have a stick up my but. Just like I used to.

"Are you sure your alright?" Rin asked in concern.

"Of course I am," I scoffed. "I just trained hard yesterday and didn't get enough sleep." I added an eyeroll.

Minato looked at me strangely and I knew that he didn't believe me. Obito doesn't look like he's buying it either.

"Then why didn't you show up for training today?" Obito asked looking at me weird.

"I forgot," I deadpanned.

Obito looked at me like I grew and extra head and I know why. The Kakashi Hatake has forgotten about training. The man who graduated from the academy at the age of 6 has forgotten about training. The boy who is always at least 15 minutes early for everything (in the past anyway) didn't show up.

Gosh. Am I going to have to show up early now? And wait. Nooooo!!! The Icha Icha books aren't out yet! What am I going to read?!

Minato coughed. "Let's let Kakashi get ready. Meet us at training ground 4 in 10 minutes."

With that, Minato grabbed Obito and Rin and in a yellow flash, he vanished.

I let all my summons go back and I got out of bed. I got dressed and put on a new mask. After that, I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and gasped.

The sharingan was there and then it disappeared. Was it an illusion? I also noticed a faint scar over my left eye. I closed my eyes and opened them and it was still there. I focused chakra to my eye and the sharingan appeared.

So I can control it now, huh.

I sunshined (body flickered) to training ground 4 and met up with my teammates. Minato looked at me with a look of worry but quickly looked away. As for me, I just stared at him like he was going to disappear at any moment. For all I know, this is a genjutsu.

"Today we are going to learn our chakra natures and train in them," Minato stated.

'I already know my chakra nature.' I thought. 'Lightning.'

"These are chakra papers," he said holding up a small square piece of paper. "You let a little bit of your chakra go into the paper like so." The paper split. "Since the paper split, that shows that my chakra nature is wind."

"Wow," Obito said in amazement.

Minato just chuckled and handed us our papers. Mine crumbled. "You have a lightning chakra nature." Rin's got damp. "Yours is water." Obito's turned to ash. "And you have a fire chakra nature Obito." Minato finished.

"Wow!" Obito exclaimed. "Who has the strongest?"

"I say that they are all the same now in strength," Minato started. "But if I put you guys against each other, Kakashi would beat Rin because water conducts lightning, Rin would beat you Obito because water puts out fire, and as for you and Kakashi, I would say it was pretty even."

"What about us and you if you were just a beginner?" Rin asked.

"Since Minato- sensei is a wind type," I told her. "Obito would win because his fire would be amplified by the wind, he would beat you because he could just blow your wind away, and as for me, we're pretty even."

Minato sensei nodded his head. "Kakashi is right, but since I have trained longer than you guys I could easily beat you all." He began to laugh evilly and we all sweat dropped. I think Kushina has been rubbing off on him.

Kushina. 'She reminds me of Naru- no stop it.' I internally chided myself before I could cry. 'Naruto isn't here...'

But that just made it worse.

3rd person POV

Minato noticed the sudden saddness in Kakashi's eyes. There was deep unimaginable pain hidden in there, just like he saw in his room just that morning. Quickly looking for something to make him feel better, Minato grabbed the scrolls and handed them out to his students.

"These scrolls have Jutsu that correspond with your chakra nature," he said. "I want you to train in them."

Minato walked up to Kakashi who was deep in his thoughts that he didn't know was full of sorrow and memories of the war.

"Kakashi?" he said gently. 'I'm going to have to bring this up with the hokage.' he thought.

Kakashi looked startled from his thoughts and looked up at his sensei. Minato could of sworn that he saw the sharingan but he quickly put it off because it was impossible. He also noticed that Kakashi's eyes kind of looked blank. Like he was trying to hide something in his eyes.

"Yes Minato sensei?" Kakashi asked with his voice neutral. On the inside though, Kakashi wanted to hug Minato and never let go.

"Um, uh... actually all of you are invited to bbq with the other teams," Minato said quickly.

"Why?" Kakashi questioned.

"It's a secret," Minato said racking his brain for this said secret.

"YEAH!" Obito said excitedly. "I'm in!"

"Me too," Rin said excitedly as well.

'She's a lot like Sakura.' Kakashi thought in sorrow.

"What about you Kakashi?" Minato questioned.

"Yeah, sure," Kakashi said stuffing his hands in his pockets.

This was not going to go well.
