Narrator: Wallace Chapman (Russell's most-trusted ally)

"Cheers!", we both chorused as we took a little stroll round the courtyard. The ceremony had almost gotten to and end. We were about to call it a day when suddenly, a lady in white uniform ran towards us, panicking. It was one of Russell's employees; probably his newborn's nanny. We took her to a corner so as not to draw attention.

"The baby! The baby!", she said, panting. "What about the baby?", I responded, with my eyes wide open like a skeletal face. "I... I... I went to pick up the shampoo and then I returned and I couldn't find the baby", she continued, almost crying. "What do you mean you can't find my baby!", Russell yelled and hurried upstairs while we followed suit.

"She was right here and I was... I was there and then I came back I couldn't find her", the nanny said, pointing at the baby's cart and the bathroom respectively. "Call security immediately! No one leaves the property! Search everyone!", Russell ordered one of the butlers. Everywhere was sealed in seconds and everywhere was been searched but more than a dozen families had already left.

Everyone was still shocked. I picked up to dial 911 but Russell asked me not to. "I think I know who is behind this and I know exactly how to handle this", he said. I nodded in accordance. It was obvious one of the enemies was using Russell's newborn as bait. In order not to raise suspicion, he ordered the gates open and people began trooping out of the property. Well, what a great day turned bad.

"You have a call, Sir", Russell's butler said, while handing a beeper to him. "From who is it?", Russell questioned. "Alexandra Petrèli, sir. He said he had something you wanted",the butler added. "Russell Charlton!", Russell said to the caller while walking out of the room and I followed suit. Apart from being his most-trusted ally, Russell and I have been best friends since Junior High. So let me be aware of everything he did.

"Russell Charlton, I believe you know who's on the line", the voice from the phone responded in a Russian accent. "What do you want, Petrèli?", Russell responded. In our business, the best way to take something very dear to someone was by taking something he valued more and in this situation, Russell's little Chloe was perfect for bait.

"I want you to withdraw all your shares from OLINA Petroleum asap, and you shall have your little one", Lex said. OLINA Petroleum was the largest petroleum firm in Texas and in fact, owned the third largest refinery in the US and Russell owned eighty percent of the company while the remaining twenty was shared Alexandra Petrèli and the government. If Russell withdrew the shares - which he was going to - the firm my go bankrupt and their only option would be to sell them to Petrèli, making him Russell lose what might result to let's say; five billion dollars in half a year! But to Russell, his little girl was worth more than that.

"You have until sunrise tomorrow to do the bid or I'll feed little miss Charlton to my dogs and trust me, Skibby is more of a wolf than a dog, I'll tell you where and when to come pick up your kid once I'm certain you've fulfilled your end of the bargain", Petrèli ended, hanging up. The police could not be involved in this because this was way passed their paygrade. Russell pondered on dropping the shares but his heart beat faster when he thought of his little girl.
It was passed sunset and the driver had taken my wife and kids home. Not talking, was the best thing to do at the moment because both our minds were thinking the same. "Wally man, I got this. Go home to your wife", Russell beckoned on me. We hugged and I left for my property which was a stone-throw away from Russell's.

"Baby, come see what's in the news!", my wife shouted from the kitchen. I hurried down while she handed me a cup of coffee and pointed at the TV. As I expected, OLINA PETROLEUM LARGEST SHAREHOLDER, RUSSELL CHARLTON WITHDRAWS HIS SHARES FROM THE BILLION-DOLLAR FUNDED FIRM was all I could see on the news. But the old Russell I knew wouldn't accept defeat in such an easy manner and so, I had a cold bath and hurried to my old friend's property to see if he needed some help from "Wally man".

I met the Nanny who told me Russell had left early that morning and hadn't told anyone where he was headed. I dialed his number but was asked to leave a message. "Russ oh dear, what are you up to brother?", I rhetorically asked. "He said to tell you he was going to "The Warehouse" or something", the Nanny added. And then for some reason, I gave a broad smile.
Russell and I had been bikers when we were much younger and "The Warehouse" was the Bikers' slang for our hideout. The Bikers was a fraternity of both young and old people and there was nothing like violence in our way of life. We just made local peace in our locales using a rather unlawful method. But Alexandra Petrèli must be up to something if he told Russell to come get his kid at the very warehouse where Russell had served as a young Biker. I just had some confidence because I knew, Russell was always a step ahead of everyone. I hurried back to my car and drove of to give and old friend some backup.

I looked from the peephole beside the warehouse and I saw Russell seated, surrounded by four guys in black masks -two who wore Bikers' jackets while the other two didn't. Petrèli and the baby were there too. "Kill him and dump his body where no one can see him, as for the baby, I think Skibby's quite hungry", was all I could hear, and then I knew Russell was in grave danger. I quickly cocked the revolver I had stuffed in my trouser earlier and as one of the masked guys; who was not wearing a Bikers' jacket pulled out a gun to shoot, I gave him a headshot from the peephole.
"What the heck!", Alex Petrèli yelled as everyone in the building was shocked. "Find that perpetrator!", he added. Just as I knew they were gonna come for me I ran and hid behind a trash bin at the corner. It was a do-or-die situation. Two of the guys had come out to look for me - one who wore Bikers' jacket and the other one who didn't-, I aimed for the one who wasn't and gave a headshot from where I was hiding. Just as o was about to make my move, I barrel was pointed to my head and I knew I was busted. For a moment I felt scared, but kind of relieved, if I was going to die, I'd die helping my last good friend alive.

The masked Biker guy dragged me into the warehouse and I sat on a seat beside Russell. "You shouldn't have, I had this under control", Russell whispered to me but I pretended not to hear him. "So, I get to kill the very two reasons why I've not become America's wealthiest businessman! What a good day!", Alex Petrèli bragged. The baby had started crying. "Please, just let my baby live", Russell begged. "Oh no Russ O'Russ, you took what was mine once, now I'm gonna take yours. Right in front of you", Alex boasted, giving a fake laughter. "Finish the baby!", he ordered the masked men.
"You lied to us! You said you weren't gonna kill the little one. I can't kill an innocent child Big Boss! Hell no!", one of the masked Biker guys yelled while removing his mask, he was short, bald and probably in his late 30's. I felt a little relief. Alexander pointed his rifle at the Biker guy and said: Pathetic Bikers, you do what I ask you to do! Do you hear me!. Just as he was about to pull the trigger, the other Biker guy shot him at the back of head. "No one kills my kingpin while I'm still alive. Bling are you okay man?", asked the shooter, referring to his colleague. "Yeah I'm okay Jim. Let's get outta here. We shouldn't have worked against a brother in the first place", the bald one responded and they both hurried to a Volkswagen outside the warehouse and drove off.

It was a miracle, for this reason Russ and I were grateful we had joined the Bikers when we were younger. I watched my old friend lift his baby again and as he smiled. I smiled too. "Let's get you home, Chloe", he said to it and we both left.
