Having famous shadowhunter parents is kinda difficult. Everyone expects so much of me, all the time, and they always compare me to my father, Jace Wayland. They talk of how one day I shall find my Clary just like my father did.

It still hurts a lot when others speak of my parents. This is because they were killed when I was a child. I blame myself.

*Flashback*

A strange, mysterious man swayed into the institute. His long black coak trailing behind him. Seeing as he was a shadowhunter I could not refuse his entry.

'Where is Johnathan and Clarrisa?' He asked, in a deep, impatient voice.

I explained that they were sleeping and he'd have to wait until morning to talk to them.

I showed him to a room across from my mother's and father's room.

The next morning I skipped happily down the corridoors to give my parents their morning hug. I found my way to their bedroom. Slowly, I began to turn the door handle. I never knew what horrors would await for me behind that very door.

I stepped into the room and slapped my hand across my mouth.

My parents had disappeared. There was blood covering the bed. The blood splattered like paint thickly across the walls. On The bed was a note. Slowly, still in shock and holding back the tears, I picked up the note trying not to get any blood on my fingertips.

The note read;

'I shall bury Jace and Clary where they truly belong. Here are your strong Jace's last words; This was V-------.'

The rest of the word was scribbled out and it was impossible for me to read the truth that lied underneath it.

*Present Day*

There are still questions of who did this and some are still trying to investigate. Others just gave up and lost all hope. Some think that this was the work of the one and only Valentine. But many have their doubts with the belief of his death on their minds.

Personally, I do not know what to believe. The only thing that is on my mind is that I shall find who or whatever did this.

I shall avenge my parents.

Sorry it's short as it is just the introduction. I have changed it a bit so it's better than before. Thanks for reading.
