My Immortal Instrument

Chapter Three

Simon's POV

"I'm going out,"Scarlett said and left the room before I could even start to protest.

"So am I," I whisper under my breath.

She can't know.

I hate keeping secrets from her. Though apparently it's 'For her own good'. They all agreed.

I decided to neglect the dishes. I cleaned myself up and put on some decent clothes. I wanted to look good for Isabelle.

Another thing Scarlett doesn't know about is my relationship with Isabelle. Another person who should be in Scarlett's life.

I need to bring this up with them all today. I can't continue to lie to my Scarlett anymore.

I walked out into the beautiful sunshine. I absolutely despised being a vampire but at least I was still able to go out during the daytime. Unlike all vampires I was  still able to feel the warmth of the sun against my pale skin.

I decided to walk today, just for the warmth of the hot sun. Lately, I've been feeling like this warmth and sunshine won't be lasting for long. I feel as though a darkness is coming to take over.

I shook my head and started to make my way. To the institute.

Jace Jr's POV

I made my way towards the library. To find that the large patterned doors to the library where closed tightly. This only ever happened when...

"Simon!" Aunt Isabelle screamed whilst she happily ran across the halls towards Simon and... Well I don't want to explain what happened next.

"Hey Jace," Simon says walking hand in hand with Isabelle.

"Hey," I grunt trying to erase what I just witnessed from my memory.

"How's... You know who?" Isabelle asked. I became curious.

"I'll tell you everthing inside the library. I really need to discuss something with all of you," Simon began to look extremely sad when he said this.

"Who are you talking about?" I ask even more curious now.

"You can't know," Isabelle and Simin say together in perfect unison.

"Tell me?" I say getting more curious.

"Jace, leave it," Isabelle said.

"I have a right to know!" I shout.

"Jace! Just go train or something," Isabelle demanded.

I sigh and slowly walk around the corner.

Quietly, I look around the corner and watch Isabelle and Simon walk into the library. The doors shut once again.

Quickly, I grab my stele and press it against the wall. A small part of the wall slowly began to dissolve and I was able to see into the room and watch this secret meeting.

"Simon, Do you and Scarlett still live at the same address?" Luke asked, looking serious.

"Yes we do," Simon sighed, sitting down.

"Cut the crap Luke. Simon says there is something he needs to dicuss with us," Isabelle said, I could tell that she was getting impatient just by the look on her face.

Luke sigh and looked at Simon as a way of giving him permisson to talk, "Go on."

"We need to tell Scarlett everything. About her parents, about me, about all of you and more importantly about herself," Simon said, I could see that he was extremely close to tears.

"No!" Luke shouted, His voice echoed throughout the whole institute.

"You kept it from Clary and look what happened! She defeated Valentine and maybe Scarlett can defeat whoever is causing trouble for everyone now! With her powers we can avenge Jace and Clary. With her powers the Shadowhunter world will be safe once again!" Simon shouts putting his fist through the table. Leaving a large hole in the table and splinters in this hand.

"We're all hurt by their deaths Simon," Luke says calming down a little.

"Well do something about it then!" Simon shouts whilst standing up from his chair, his face red with anger.

"I agree with the vampire," Mangus calmly said flicking through the pages of an old book.

"Well I disagree! There is no way we can tell her. It'll ruin her and Jace's live!" Luke begins to shout once again. "Now go!" He shouts pointing towards the large doors and slumping into the nearest chair.

"Prepare to face the consqenses, Luke," Simon says under his breath whilst storming out of the library.

Quickly, I grab my stele and run silently to my room.

"If I met this girl why would it ruin my life?" I question myself.

I throw myself onto my bed.

I watch the clock tick slowly and sigh. Then I fall into a deep sleep.
