The Alphas Mate??

Chapter 12

I groan slightly as the bright light hits me finally able to move my arm I lay it over my eyes. I hear them rambling on trying to talk to me, as I'm trying to come to my senses still. As I try to speak only a croak comes out.

"Oh let me get you some water" I mentally roll my eyes. Why can't he just leave and go back to his Alpha duties and let me be. Pushing myself up into a sitting position as Zane walks over with a plastic cup of water handing it to me. Taking it without touching it I chug it down quickly. God didn't realize how thirsty I really was.

"Well Ms. Black we're glad you awake and seem fine at the moment ,but is it alright if we run some test on you?" Before I'm able to reply a growl erupts from the side of the room.

"She just woke up and you already ,but her through hell with those damn test?!" I snap my head in Zane's direction growling at him loudly causing everyone to look at me in shock.

"Oh he put me through hell just trying make sure I'm alright?" I laugh historically, "What about all the damn hell you and your buddies put me through all up until the damn day I was your mate?! I only mattered then because you need a damn Luna!" I growl aggressively  hollering at him. "Well I will not be with you just for that. Unlike you I actually want to be with someone else who loves me and wants me because I'm me, not because fate says i am supposed to be your mate and Luna. Now please leave."

I nod for the doctor to run his test that are needed and he ushers everyone out of the room. Even the shocked and heart broken Alpha Zane. I felt a pain in my heart just looking at him, but brush it off the best I can laying back as nurses come in to run my test.

-Zane's POV-

Leaving her hospital room I go straight to the pack house. I storm inside slamming the door behind me causing everyone around to flinch slightly. Up the stairs heading for my office when Daisy comes walking down the hallway with that seductive sway in her hips. Well if Zoe doesn't want me I'll just take someone who always has.

"Well hello Alpha" Daisy looks up at me with a slight smirk brushing her hand over my arm.

"Are you up to anything at the moment?" I brush some of the hair behind her ear noticing the tingles aren't there like they are with Zoe.

"No, I'm free if you need me" Biting her lip wrapping her arms around my waist. I mentally groan at myself as I realize that as much as I wanna piss Zoe off like she has me I can't do it like this.

"Not like that Daisy. I was gonna ask you to run patrol with a few others tonight. There's been an increase of rogues around and I don't want them on my territory." Pulling from her and stepping to the side heading for my office as I leave her there pouting.

I push the door open to my office closing it behind me going to sit at my desk and beginning to work on some paper work for a pack member wanting to transfer to a different pack. Reading down the paper for the name of who I find it, Blake Hinson , well Zoe is gonna be pissed he's leaving her ,but maybe she'll be happy he found his mate and possibly she'll see how happy they are and decide to give me a chance.

I finish signing all the paper for his transfer happy my best friend has found his mate and gets to be Alpha of her pack. It happened rarely for a male to switch to a pack and become an Alpha ,but Silver Creek's Alpha only had one child before his Luna died and it was a little girl and Blake happened to be that girls mate now.

I send a text to Blake letting him know his papers were done and could leave when ready. Starting on some more work I doze off at the computer.
