Basics: you are Davids (daithi's) editor, you live with him and you're very close friends (wow, original)

-Y/N'S POV-

I wake up at 11:30am, I squint my eyes as I stretch and yawn. I flip the blanket off me and stand up to get dressed. after I pick out the basic black T-shirt, black shorts, and a black and white flannel, I walk down the stairs as joe and tony follow behind to get some breakfast.

I hop off the stairs and make my way to the kitchen. I make a bowl of cereal and eat up before I go edit

-smol skip-

After i finish my bowl of cereal I head upstairs to work on editing David's video.
While I walk through the hallway I hear a very faint sound coming from Davids room, I walk over to his door and try to make out the sound. The noise I heard was David singing.
I haven't heard David sing much, Ive watched one or two of his covers on his channel but I haven't ever heard him sing in person. It was beautiful. He had such an emotional sound to his voice, I had always told him he should do more music and singing videos on his channel. A lot of his fans enjoyed it but David was a bit insecure about his singing. There were always feuds on who's version was better and people complaining that they only wanted gaming content.
I put my ear to the door to hear his voice better and listen to him sing a song I hadn't ever heard before.

Whatever song it was, I really liked it.

The song eventually ended and I went back to my room so David didn't find me awkwardly standing and listening through his door. I walk in and sit on my bed and lay my laptop on my lap and get to work on editing. A few minutes later I hear a knock on my door and I hear it creek open a bit and i lift my head up to see David standing in the doorway, Joe and tony slid through past David and both run in my room and hop on my bed and snuggle up on my pillows.
I look over to David while I pet Joe.
"What's up boss?" I say with a grin on my face. David chuckles and leans against the doorframe.

"I got another video for ye to edit, its a bit different from the usual." He says while he holds up the USB with the footage on it.

"Alrighty then, ill work on it after I get this one done." I say looking back to my laptop and continue editing.

"Watch the full video first before editing it, I think you might enjoy it." He says before tossing the USB over to me and walking back to his recording room. Out of curiosity, I save the file for the video I was editing and plug in the USB and wait for it to load.

The video file pops up named "your love"
I open the video to see David on his guitar and begin watching.

"Hi guys, its daithi here. now, this videos gonna be a little different today. I decided to write a song which was inspired by a good friend of mine who I've known for quite a long time now. She's been wanting me to do more music stuff for a while now and so this song has been in the works and I finally finished it just recently. Anyway, let me know what you guys think and comment below."

After the intro and explanation he starts to sing.
The lyrics were so loving and adorable, I then realized that was the same song he was singing just a while ago when I was listening through his door. 'Did he write this for me?' I think to myself as I continue listening.

After the song ended my eyes had watered up a bit, I wipe my eyes and look up to see David standing in my doorway again.

"So? Whadya think?" He says as he walks over and sits on my bed.

"That was beautiful David, I loved it"

"Well I'm glad, it was for you after all"

I was shocked a bit by the fact that he wrote a song for me. Especially with those lyrics... Was this his way of expressing his love for me?

I look up into his eyes and grin.
"Really? You wrote that for me?"

"Yeah, of course. I practically described you in the beginning of the video" we both chuckle.

"That's so sweet of you David..." I smile ear to ear and blush.

"Its nothing" he smiles and looks away.

"It means a lot" I giggle and pat Tony's head.

"So.. I could be wrong, but is this song your way of 'confessing your love' for me then?" I giggle and poke his arm.

"It might be" he smiles and looks up at me.

I couldn't help but get lost in his beautiful eyes, suddenly I noticed I was leaning in, but David seemed to have been leaning in too. Finally we broke the gap between us and our lips collided. I closed my eyes and let the moment sink in.
A sudden bark is heard and we break up the kiss. We both turn our heads to Joe, wagging his tail while all sprawled out on my pillow and looking back and forth between me and David.
We both giggle and I pet joes head.

"You attention whore ruining the moment, go get your own girl Joe" David says jokingly while petting Joe. I giggle and look to david and kiss him again.

"I'm sure that won't be our only moment" I say smiling, David smiling back.

And from that, I knew me and David were going to get much closer.

Hnnnnnnnnggg that was cheesy and slight cringe I'm sorrryyy. I suck at writing storys tbh, and no one even seems to enjoy them much which is disappointing. But either way ima continue to write cheesy cringe and try to YEET as many chapters as I can at y'all (when did I start saying 'y'all', dear lord)
