"Ma talk to me"

Should I ask him or wait til later. Ima ask him- no ima wait til later but I really want to know though. Ima ask him- yea ima ask him. I was debating on whether to ask him now or wait til later.

"Wassup with you and Jay"

He stared in my eyes for awhile before speaking.

"Jay's my twin sister but we have different dads"

He took a deep breath before speaking again, "When mama Shanice was young she was raped by my dad's friend at a party she went to. When my dad came back in town, he found out and he blew him up in his car, then my mom found out she was pregnant, so my dad wanted an abortion, but she wanted to keep the baby. So she kept it, the first time she went to the doctor it showed one baby then the second time she went it showed two babies. So my dad moved with my mama to Texas and when she had us, he had took a DNA test and I only came out to be his. He couldn't even look at Jay, it hurt him too much, so he kicked my mama and Jay out. He got married and died when I was eight. They have two kids together. After my dad died my stepmom changed, she always had men over her house, her attitude toward us changed and she started abusing us. So when I turned sixteen I started looking up my mom so when I turned eighteen I could finally meet my mom side of the family. The day of the party was my second day down here."

It was quiet for a while, my mind was scattering all over the place but I was clueless on what to say to him. I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I looked in his eyes but still I was lost for words.
"William I'm so sorry"

"It's nothing ma"

"No William it's something"

"Shawty please don't stress over this"

He grabbed my chin,"look at me ma I'm fine"

It was silent until nurse Chanel came in the room, "Hey William I see you're finally awake''

" What happened here'' she asked looking down at the dead nurse.

"She was checking upon William and was about to leave when somebody came and shot her" I said stretching the truth a lil bit.

"Oh well I'ma get this cleaned up" she said looking uncertain.

"William do you have any problems''

"Besides the really bad headache I'm good''

"Lol, I'ma be back with your medicine and I'ma call the doctor first thing in the morning''

"OK"

She closed the door back behind her, "what was funny about that"

"I have no idea"

Once I got back to the nurse's station, I flashed a text to my brother.

"He's woke"

"Ight bet you still know the plan right"

"Yea"

I grabbed William's medicine and went back to his room.

"Here you go the doctor prescribed you these pills to take" I said giving him some water also.

"Skai, me and my friends having a party Saturday"

"And I was wondering I should invite you and Jay"

"Yea I coming what time"
