Nicholas's POV
As I sat there and realized that my bonds had fallen off because life got distracted so I ran away.Knowing that it wouldn't be long before they realized I was gone. I didn't know i managed to get away from them twice. Then as i started walking away a lightning bolt passed through my chest which stunned me for a couple seconds. As it started to rain i ran for cover since I didn't want anyone to see me so i did what i do best and i turned invisible. Now for those wondering why I wanted to kidnap my son's friends and trade their life for mine. I got to take you back to where it all began.
*Flashback 20 years*
"Honey I'm home " i called out to my wife now normally there would have been a smartass response like " i know i can see the future or did you forget that? " But this time there was no response at all so i started scanning the house for all potential threats and life. When i picked up two life forces coming from the same place so getting ready for a fight i unfurled my wings and drew up my sword and advanced. Clearing every room with the intent to kill finally i reached my room. As i opened the door i saw my wife standing there holding our child in her arms. "Is that ours?" I couldn't help but ask. "Yes and No " a confused look appeared on my face at her response. "What do you mean yes and no?" "It's not yours all the way" With those words she had ended my happiness and soon everything.
*present day*
Shaking my head clear of the memories. " Where did he go Life" i could here death yelling at life so i hid my powers and my presence like the professional that i am.
