Horatio stared at his phone.

He blinked, looked away from his phone, hides his face between his hands and groaned.

Cole looked at his best friend with concern, "It's that delivery girl, isn't it? Tara? Was it?"

Horatio peeked through his hands and whispered "Yes."

Cole laughed "Haha! Yes i knew it!!" "Mark totally owes me" "You two bet on this?" Horatio looked at Cole, Shocked.

"Sorry not sorry, dude but, you were totally head over heels for Tara"
Horatio was shook. All this time he had kept a lot of secrets and was so good at keeping them from people, even his friends.

But, how? Did this one slipped away? Yes, he had a crush on Tara, and he even ordered stuff from Ultra-mart (the place where Tara works) just so he could see her over and over again.

And not only Cole knows this, but all of his friends knew, except for Mark he keeps on thinking that Horatio will never get the chance too talk to Tara again. He was clearly wrong about that, because today Cole is about to help this two lost love birds together.

"What do i do?" "Call her"

He stared at his phone again. Fingers hovering above the screen "Do you really think i can pull it off?" Horatio looked at his friend again, unsure.

"Of course dude! C'mon call her!" He grinned.

"Okay..here goes" he pressed call.

"Hello?"

Horatio froze, he looked at Cole deadly in the eyes and mouthed "what do i say?"
"Say hello" Cole whispered
Giving him a thumbs up.

"H-hello Tara"

"Hi, Horatio! What's up?"

"Oh! Just the blue sky covered with a wooden ceiling"
Cole facepalmed

Horatio panicked "I-um-what i mean is- uh"

Tara giggled
"You're so cute Horatio"
"I-i am?"
He smiled
"Mmhmm! Very very cute! Sooo why did you called?" "Do you need something? I'm actually free now so, i can deliver it to you as fast as the flash!" Tara beamed
"Oh! Actually um- yeah i want one of those cologne that i-"
"-Love?"
Horatio can hear her giggle again, he quickly blushed and chuckled "uh-yeah, you know me so well"
"Well, i'll be there in a minute with your order"
"Uh..Tara?" Horatio called for her, making eye contact with Cole who's now grinning and chuckling to himself at his best friend. "Do it! Ask her !" Cole whispered.
"Yea?" "I-i'll see you at Double Tap."

Horatio can almost feel her smile even though she wasn't there, at the moment.
With that he hung up and.. "Awww C'mon bro, i thought you're going to ask her out" "I'm sorry! I chickened out! I was so nervous" he sat down and plopped his head on the counter table.

Cole patted him on the shoulder, "Cheer up, and remember what Mark says 'Be yourself and  state the truth' kay?" Horatio nodded
"Besides you've gone on several dates with her, i think it's time to ask her" 
"Now where's that new drink you've been making?"

Just as he was about to make Cole his drink, the bell chimed and in came a smiling small petite-girl with brown hair in a side-ponytail, wearing a blue uniform with matching blue cap.

She waved with one of her hands while the other is balancing the package that Horatio ordered.
"Hiya, Horatio! Cole!" She smiled at Horatio
Horatio waved back and took a few steps until he's infront of Tara. "Here your package"

As he took the brown small package he 'accidentally' brushed and holded Tara's small hand, Cole took his package and looked at them grinning silently.
Horatio continues to hold Tara's hand and stared at her brown eyes. "Hey" his gruff voice sounded sincere and almost soft to hear.
Tara giggled and stared back "Yes?"

Horatio realizing what he was doing steps back and fumbled with words as Tara laughed "Did you want to say something?"

"Y-Yes." "Tara, do you want to be my girlfriend?"
She smiled as she kissed Horatio on the cheek "I was wondering when you'll ask me" she smiled teasingly blushing.

"Sorry, i was a little bit nervous" he chuckled
"A 'little' bit?" Cole asked from behind.
"Okay, maybe not a little bit"

"You're so cute Horatio." Tara takes his hand and kissed him on the lips, Horatio kissed her back, hands riding up to her waist, Tara's hands cups his cheek caressing the rough beard gently.
Cole whistled and shouted "Finally!! And get a room you two!"
As they pulled away and laughed, still holding hands,
Horatio pulled her closer and said "You're  cuter though" Tara smiled as she kissed his cheek once again.
