Demi's POV

We were now at the hospital waiting for the doctor to notify us how my baby sister is doing.

The scene that my family and I saw when we barged in the room keeps replaying in my head.

My baby sister Yassi was laying on her stomach shirtless while her father was on top of her.

Her father was burning her skin. I don't get how her father could be so cruel to his daughter all of a sudden.

My family and I are now waiting in the waiting room.

Mom and dad were sitting beside each other crying.

Dallas was sitting a few chairs away from our parents, she was staring at her lap crying.

Maddie was sitting right beside the wall, she was resting her head on the wall and staring at the floor while tears fall freely from her beautiful eyes.

Then there was me, sitting right across from my sister Dallas. I was resting my head on Marissa's shoulder crying silently while I'm trying to wrap my finger at what was happening.

Suddenly the waiting room doors opened which caught all of our attention.

"Lovato family?"

We all stood up and walked to the doctor who was now standing in the middle of the room with his clip board.

"Everything okay?" Mom asked shakily

"We found finger prints around her neck. We assume that this person was trying to choke her that's why she lost some oxygen. She's wearing an oxygen mask to help her breathe but she is stable for now. She also has 3 burnt spots on her back which would look like a triangle if you connect the spots. When she wakes up she will scream bloody murder because she's putting pressure on her burnt spots. Once she starts screaming I want you to press the doctor button that is right above her hospital bed. I also have one more thing to tell the adults," he said eyeing Maddie in a caring way.

"Marissa can you please take Maddie to eat something downstairs?" I asked

She nodded her head and took Maddie's hand. Once they were out the door the doctor resumed on talking.

"We found several cuts on her shoulder blades which we think were from broken glass. We also found some bruises on her inner thigh .. "

"She w-as r-aped?" my mom whispered

The doctor just nodded his head.

"Baby girl" I said barely audible

"Can we see her?" My dad asked

"Yes you can. Follow me"

We followed him and by the time we got to the door he left us. We all took a deep breathe and opened the door.

The sight in front of me made sob more.

My baby girl was laying on the hospital bed with the oxygen mask on her face. She looked so fragile and broken. I will honestly kill her father if I ever see him.

Then Maddie and Marissa appeared but they didn't say anything. They were just observing Yassi.

I pulled a chair right beside her bed and sat down.

I took her hands in mine and kissed it.

"Do you guys think this was the first time he ever laid his hands on her?" I asked hoping that the answer was no.

"She's the only one who can answer that" replied mom.

An hour passed and we were still in the same position as we were when we entered the room.

All of a sudden Yassi's hands shot up to her face and took out her oxygen mask. She the started coughing and we were all in shock at the sudden action that we stared at her.

Then she started screaming bloody murder.

That's when we all jump into action. I lunged for the doctor button and after a minute the doctors came in while the nurses ushered us out.

Hearing Yassi scream out of pain made us cry more.

Yassi's POV

When I woke up I felt a burning pain on my back which made me scream bloody murder. I couldn't open my eyes but I felt people moving me and someone putting a gel on my back.

After a minute I felt the gel cool down the burning feeling on my back.

"Okay Yassi, I'm Dr.Rodriguez and you have 3 huge burnt spot on your back so you're going to have to lay on your side for it not to hurt." He explained

"Thank you Doc. Umm did you tell my family about the you know" I asked nervously

"No I didn't but please do tell them. You're too beautiful to be doing this to yourself."

Me beautiful? Funny!

I just nodded in response.

"Your family are waiting outside. Do you want me to call them in?" he asked

"Yes please" I answered politely.

He went out the door and after few seconds the door burst opened while everyone rushed in.

"Woah woah woah!!! No one hug me please. My back still hurts."

"Aww baby girl I'm glad your ok" Dallas cooed which earned herself a death glare from Demi.

Only Demi can call me Baby Girl and everyone knows that.

After few minutes of talking my mom suddenly asked me a question that made my heart skip a beat.

"Was this the first time your dad ever laid his hands on you?"

Everyone looked at me, waiting for my response.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds.

"No" I whispered then opened my eyes to only see shocked faces.

Then suddenly the door burst opened.

I felt fear build up inside of me but I felt anger build up inside of everyone else's specially Demi's.

But that person who was at the door didn't care.

That person rushed over me and started choking me.

Everyone was trying to pull him off of me but his hands around my neck was tight.

That person who was suppose to be my father is now killing me.

Then once again I felt darkness take over me.
