Back from the Blades [Voltron fanfic] [Kidge]

Prologue

Pidge: Promise you'll come back?

Keith: I'll be back from the Blades as soon as I can, but until then... I have to go...

Keith and Pidge gave each other a tight hug before pressing their lips together one final time.

Keith: I swear, once I return, we'll get married...

Pidge nodded still hugging Keith.

Pidge: So, I guess I'll be referring to you as my fiancé until you get back?

Keith: You can count on it. There's also something else.

Keith took Pidge's hand and gently placed a wedding ring on her ring finger. Pidge looked at it seeing lion carvings with a green gem imbedded in it.

Keith: For when we do get married.

Keith held up his hand showing a ring identical to hers but with red instead of green. Pidge teared up and hugged Keith again, he hugged her back.

Pidge: I love you...

Keith: I love you too...

Pidge: Please come back soon...

Keith: I will as soon as I possibly can, I promise...
Two Years Later (What? Keith said that he an Krolia were on the whale thing for two years!)
Pidge helped Keith up after Shiro, Lotor and his accomplices escaped with the ships. Once it was time for them to get some rest, Pidge and Keith slept in the same bed together, just like they used to.

Pidge: I missed you so much Keith...

Keith: I know, I wish that mission never took so long...

Pidge: You kept your promise, you said you would come back as soon as you could and you did...

Keith gave Pidge a kiss on the forehead, the two pressed their lips together again not realizing how fast it was getting heated. There were definitely new memories the two were to make together, especially that night.
