Chapter 41 :: Baptism

"Beau are you ready yet?" I shouted from the bottom of the stairs with Ailbhe on my hip

We had 30 minutes to meet everyone at the church for Ailbhes christening and Beau was taking longer than me to get ready

I was wearing-> christening (on polyvore)

Beau soon walked down the stairs wearing denim jeans with a button up shirt and black vans

"Beau we have only 30 minutes, we are meant to be the first there" I complained while searching for my car keys

"I'm sorry baby, you look amazing" he kissed my cheek "and I'm driving" he took my car keys out of my hand and walked out the door

I put Ailbhe in her baby seat in the back and got into the passenger seat

When we got to the church most people were outside, waiting for us I suppose. we greeted a few people then thanked them for coming then walked to the top of the church once we were inside. I sat at the top pew, on the right with Ailbhe on my lap and Beau beside us and Luke and Holly we're also in our pew since they are the godparents. my mom sat with Gina, Ryan and the rest of the boys in the pew direct from ours, on the left

"We are joined here for the christening of Ailbhe May Brooks" the priest smiled at the baby in a white gown on my lap

After being called up with Holly and Luke the priest poured the holy water over Ailbhes forehead while Holly held the white candle with a orange flame

When it was all over we walked outside

"Does baby Ailbhe want to come with uncle James?" James asked her in the most childish voice

She let out a little coo then James took her from me and walked over to Jai and Skip

"Rhi!" someone shouted. I turned around and saw my aunt Sarah by the church door

I ran up as fast as I could-since I'm wearing heels it's hard- and hugged her tight

"I can't believe your here" I smiled at her

"Nanny and Grandad are here too, their gone to the restaurant with your mom" she told me

"Oh my god I can't wait to see them" my smile got wider "did Abbie not come?" I asked her

"No she's repeating her leaving cert since she didn't get enough points for college" she frowned and so did I

"Rhi you ready to head to the restaurant?" Beau came up to us then hugged Sarah

"Yeah just let me get Ailbhe"

I'm so so sorry for the week late update. I had a busy weekend, I stayed in my friends for the weekend then I had stuff going on and I got a new phone today :) oh and Kilkenny were playing Dublin in the Leinster final and Kilkenny won there 69th Leinster Final and now there into the all Ireland Final soon :)
