Being the Grammar Nazi™ I am, I freak out when people don't say something in the correct tense, take pauses in between words where a comma should be, or at least use the correct word choice. I'm even worse when someone types. I'm getting off topic though, anyways our friends from Florida sent their daughter up here and she was talking about our state.
It was literally:
"Oh, do you like the weather here?"
"I like it better down here, in Virginia, than I did up there in Florida."
(Yes I'm aware I gave away my location, but who cares.)
I was trying not to freak out and she gave me a look, like LITERALLY IT'S A CARDINAL DIRECTION? HOW CAN YOU BE WRONG ABOUT SOMETHING YOU LEARN IN SECOND GRADE AND USE EVERYDAY?!
