Chp. 2

"Come on what's taking so long all you had to do was put on the dress" Nicole pestered. The girls had just finished getting Rose ready for the night and were waiting on Rose to put on the dress. "Ya" V chimed in.  "Uh guys I don't know about this" Rose says as she steps out of her bedroom. Nicole and Veronica gasp at the sight of her. She had on a silky navy blue cocktail dress on with a half up half down curly bun, her make up was a blue smoky eye with glossy clear lipstick, and her shoes were a blackish sliverish stilloet that complimented her defined calves.  "Oh.. My... God... You look... Amazing.... I could never pull that off." Nicole said in awe. V smiled and turned to her purse and pulled out a box that was wrapped in silver paper and a bow on top. She turned back to Rose and said "This is from him, he told me to give this to you before he saw you tonight." She hands the box to the box to Rose and rose stares at it for a minute then takes it from V and pulls the ribbon off and opens the box. Rose gasps and pulls out a blue  encrested necklace and matching earrings. "Omg its beautiful.... " Nicole walks up to Rose and takes the necklace and puts it on Rose, then she takes the earrings and puts them on and takes a step back from Rose and looks her up and down and says "Ok I can't do this anymore our little girl is all grown up I'm gonna cry. "She laughs and pats Vs shoulder and says "Our Rose has bloomed".  V dabs her eyes and looks at the clock "He should be her any minute".  And just as she said it there was a knock at the door. Nicole laughs and turns to open the door. It squeakes as it swings open and Nicole steps back and says hello and for him to come in.  He does and he follows Nicole to the living room to wait for Rose.  Rose takes a deep breath and steps out into the living room and smiles when he sees him. He's wearing black dress shoes, pants,  and jacket and his shirt is a white button up shirt that us tucked into his pants neatly. And to her surprise he was holding a pink rose. He hands her the flower and takes her hand and kisses her knuckles.  Rose blushes and smiles humbledly. Finally she says "Hi... David.... " The man named David looks at Rose and smiles.  "You look beautiful Rose like always" he says and Rose blushes even more. "Shall we get going?" He asks. Rose look at her friends and V says "Y'all go on don't worry about us. " "Ya go on now have fun but not to much fun I want my Rose back by tomorrow mid day understand? "Nicole says and smiles at the horifide face Rose gives her. V laughs so hard that she had to sit down. And David looked as cool as a cucumber.  "Ok ok let's go before this gets out of hand. "Rose says and with that the two  walked out the door to a party nobody would forget.
