A Shining Beacon

Rose shakes herself before slowly calming her nerves. Ruby Rose. A fitting name for who, well what she is.

Ruby exits the Emerald Forest, happy and being able to evacuate many of the Grimm there before the initiation tomorrow. Some decided to stay out of stubbornness, but that is their own choice.
Bursting into an array of rose petals, the grimm reappears just as people are beginning to exit the many airships. Happy that no one noticed her strange arrival, the red caped girl makes her way to the massive academy.

Entering a poorly lit room, she divulges from the group and takes to the shadows. As Ozpin gives his speech, the negative emotions rise in the room, easily filling the young Rose.

Content with an unexpected meal, she follows the group after Ozpin's speech to a ballroom where people begin to set up their sleeping bags.

Rose glances around and sighs. Being a grimm does have its advantages, but being unable to sleep at this point seems to be a major disadvantage.

Choosing a spot by one of the walls, her nose is assaulted by a slightly harsh perfume. A Belladonna flower.

Glancing around, her eyes land on a dark figure reading a book. A bow sits on her head and slightly twitches, indicating she is possibly a Faunus.

As if the Faunus feels eyes on her, she glances up and stares into Ruby's goggles. "May I help you?" Her voice is smooth, almost sultry as she speaks.

Rose closes her eye and recedes into the depths of her mind, allowing Ruby to fully take over, turning both eyes silver.

Ruby pulls off the goggles and smiles kindly. "You are a Faunus aren't you?"

Using her Grimm powers, she feels out the girl's emotion. Sending turmoil and shock within in her.

"N-No. I think you've got the wrong person."

Ruby shakes her head and lowers the hood of her cloak, showing two black wolf ears atop her head that she wiggles slightly.

The girl relaxes and glances around. "You can't tell anyone. Please."

The cloaked girl smiles and holds up her hands. "I solemnly swear it."

The Faunus seems to relax considerably before smiling slightly. "My name is Blake Belladonna."

Rose chuckles inside their mindscape at the prospect of her being named after the very thing she smells like.

Ruby smiles. "Ruby Rose. I guess both of us really live up to our last names."

Both Grimm and Faunus converse through the night before the latter finally falls asleep, leaving the Grimm to stare out at the many students asleep.

Rose takes back her control and her eye shifts from silver to red. "We will need to be careful out there little gem..." leaning back the two watch the shattered moon from the window until morning.

So she picked up her prototype gauntlets, and took to Vale. Hei Xiong found her in the alley behind his club, starving and crying.

When the young blonde thought he was a pervert, she launched him into the street where he was found laughing. The two very quickly became friends, but on more than one occasion has she accidentally blown up his club.
