He was just a stranger, just a random guy she thought was cute. Nothing special. She'll probably never see him again. It was just a cute stranger.

Ella use these was Comforts as she walk down the sidewalk the next day. Class was a short-lived distraction didn't work for a while while it was alive.

She can shake the boy from her mind and she didn't even know his name. Convincing herself it was just a fling was impossible because 1. She didnt think her situation was anywhere close to the definition of a fling. And 2. If it was really no big deal why can she just forget him?

She stopped walking and sat on a bench in the garage that looked upon the street. It was one of her favorite spots. She could sit there and think, or create plot ideas or even plan out an assignment. Watching the people go by with calming and refreshing. If people were rushing, where were they going? If people biked down the street, how long have they been going? She would never know but it couldn't hurt to wonder.

She didn't have a shift the library until late so hurt I'm sat on this bed would be plenty. At least she thought. Her phone vibrated in her pocket distracting her from people watching.

"Hello?" She asked in a skeptical tone. She never usuallg answered unknown numbers and she didn't know why she did now.
"Hello? Hi! Is this Ella?"

Ella pulled the phone away from her ear. It couldn't be, the boice was exactly the same as the bot from the library yesterday. She never gave him her number? She didnt even finish a complete sentence talking to him. She thought back... Grace, the girl working the shifr after her, no, she wouldn't just give away her number.

"Yes, this is she," she answered slowly.
"I'm Will—" he stopped to laugh "—I'm the guy from the library."

Holy fuck was what Ella repeated to herself silently, she came to a mini revelation. Her number was on the library's website.

"We uh... We met yesterday but we didn't really get a chance to to talk after you uh, hit me with a book and ran off." Ella gasped to herself with a smile. "So I was wondering if you wanted... If you wanted to try again?"

Ella couldn't believe her ears. Was this really happening or was her desire for a happy ending causing her to hear things?

"Uh—uh, yes! Sure" she replied in a quietly yet in a joyful manner.
"Great! How 'bout now?"

Ella couldn't even question him. She was so focused on the fact that she was talking to him that she didn't hear his voice getting closer or his clunky footsteps follow.

She looked up and there he was, no more than a fee feet away. His dark hair covered by a beanie and a large coat around him. Ella shot out if her seat, "hi," she said in a breathy voice.

"Hi," he laughed satisfied.
