"Are you sure you're alright?" I asked Gary, who was next to me resting on the couch holding an ice pack to his head. We were the only ones in the lounge, as Jimmy and Pete hurriedly left to grab a bite before class started.

"I'm fine, just a minor headache." he reported.

Concern rushed through my body as I kept an eye on him. Sweat rushed down his frustrated-looking face. 'Minor headache' my ass. It upset me knowing he's in pain, even if it was the tiniest bit.

"Well, okay. Just let me know if you need anything, I'm genuinely worried about you." I noted.

He nodded in response. "Thanks for the help. Anyways, we should get going, bell's gonna ring in 6 minutes. What's your first class?" Gary gets up and plops the ice pack on the coach.

"Oh uh, English."

We stroll out the boys dorm tired of another day of boring teachers and long lectures.

11:45 -LUNCH TIME-

Our group sat on the first lunch table along with other non-cliques. Jimmy started conversation as he told me the story about the whole tea from last year, as Gary had a maniacal plan to take over the school. He used him as a tool, manipulated everyone to turn against him and then the final showdown, where Jimmy won it all at the end.

"He got expelled and even put in the Happy Volts Asylum for a while!" Jimmy cackled. I covered my
mouth muffling my giggles.

Gary glared at us. "No need to brag about it Hopkins. I'm still here though, so shut your trap." he growled, shoving an apple in his mouth.

"Yeah, how in the hell did you come back here after the huge drama?" Pete questions.

"No needa know, I have my ways femme-boy."

"Damn Gary, I never knew you were a sociopath, or a genius. You're crazy." I insulted, though personally, it just made him more attractive.

Gary shrugged, taking another bite of his apple.

"You guys wanna chill in my dorm room at noon? Just play video games and stuff." Jimmy suggests, changing the subject.

Gary and Pete agreed but I had something else in mind.

"I'm out, I'm actually planning to join track. You guys know where to go?"

Gary snickered. "You? Joining track? You run?"

"Yeah I do. Faster than when your parents ran away from you so they can't deal with your bullshit." I teased

Pete cracked a little giggle while Jimmy laughed to the point he choked on his drink. Two types of people.

"Bitch." Gary mumbled, flipping me off. I mockingly grinned in return.

"Can one of you tell me the place now?" I asked.

Jimmy recovered from his moment and lightly coughed. "Go to the football field. Mr. Burton should be there raging at hopeless students." he explained.

I thanked him and we all talked for the remaining time.
