Chapter 2: Job Interview

Sadie knocked on a door that was an approximate 8 feet tall. A booming, near deafening voice said "Enter." The door opened A tall chair was spun around toward the wall, two masked people were on different ends of the desk, and a bottle of absinthe was on the desk. Mafia Boss. I thought. But the chair spun around to reveal a tall, pale , faceless person. he stood up revealing that he wasn't tall, he was a giant. I think he was trying to talk to me via telepathy but it came out as a high pitched, gurgling, static noise. I fell over and clutched my head. The sound stopped and he spoke the through the masked man that seemed shy, he had the same booming voice as before. "Sit" The tall man said. My legs finally worked, but not to my favor. I was moving TOWARD the monster, and I sat in a surprisingly comfortable chair. "Sorry, I forget that non-proxies are sensitive to my true voice. My name is Der Großmann, but commonly known as Slender Man." The faceless man said. I knew who he was. "These are my two first proxies, Hoody..." He said pointing at the one with the hood on. He waved at me apathetically, almost emotionlessly. "...And Masky" He said pointing at the shy one. He BARELY waved to me at all, I could make out a sheepish "Hi..." "Now, why were you brought here? Anger? Revenge? Grief?" Slender Man asked. "Grief. Suicidal grief." I replied. He smiled at me. Not physically because there were no features. But I could feel it. It felt like a smug grin. "Masky, show Vincent around the house." Slender Man instructed. Masky walked up to me and said in a sheepish voice "Right th-this way." I followed him for what seemed like forever. He showed me my room. It looked as though I had never followed Sadie.
