I'm Raven. I am a normal teenage girl that roams the forest in search of answers. I am 18, as of July 16th, and i have long black hair and icy blue eyes. What you might not know is that i am a shifter. What's a shifter? A a shifter is a half human person, like myself, that turns into a specific animal. I am a raven, according to my name.
I dropped out of high school when I was fifteen and have been on my own ever since.
So here's the tale about me, Raven.
********
I laughed in the back seat of the 1996 Voltzwagon Beetle, my face going bright red. My mother was in the passengers seat, laughing just as hard, Father driving and making jokes.
"DAD!" I shreicked. I was only six by this point.
Father came to a stop at a red light and looked at my mum, smiling and still kind of laughing. "So." he said all serious like. "CiCi's?" he asked. He was craving pizza.
Mum nodded after she finished laughing. "ya. thats fine!"
I clapped my hands in joy. "Ci Ci!!!!" I giggled, moving around in my car seat.
"Okay girlie! Calm down!" Father joked.
-------
We had finished eating at CiCi's Pizza and were now on our way home. Father was again driving and he rubbed his eyes, tired from the day. Mum looked over at him and frowned.
"tired?" she asked.
he just nodded. "yeah. hey, Do you mind if we go home? I have to head out in the morning."
Father is a truck driver, taking goods to and from places.
Mum nodded. "Of course." she smiled, turning her head to look out the window.
We continued driving in silence, pulling up to the driveway. I was half asleep by then. Mum unbuckled my seat belt and carried me into the house, putting me to bed.
"Good night my sweet angel." she whispered, kissing the top of my forehead. I snuggled into my blanket and quickly fell asleep, as did mum and dad.

I woke up with a startle. what a strange memory. "okay Raven. Mum and dad are dead..." I muttered to myself. I sat up in the bed and looked over at Fox. I frowned as he was still asleep. Creeping silently out of bed, careful not to wake him, I walked to the kitchen. Passing Karie's room, I made sure she wasnt awake before continuing on my quest for relaxation.
I made a pot of coffee and helped myself to a cup, adding creamer and a little sugar. So there I was, staring out of the window, thinking about my dream. That dream was just how I remembered it, but why am I dreaming about it now? I took a sip of coffee, setting it on the kitchen table and sat down, putting my hands over my eyes.
"Its just a memory..." I said quietly.
I sat there about fourty-five minutes before Fox walked into the kitchen.
"I was cold." he said quietly, sitting next to me and gently taking my hand in his. "What's wrong?" he asked, giving me a worried look.
"Its nothing..." I mumbled, looking him in the eyes. he had beautiful green eyes.
Fox frowned. "you're lying. now tell me."
I looked at him in astonishment. "what? No Im not..."
"Yes you are. you look at me when you're lying." he said, rolling his eyes.
I huffed. I guess I did. "Okay fine." I said in defeat. "I dreamed a memory" I said quietly, gripping my coffee mug in my right hand, the one not being occupied by Fox's hand.
Fox stayed quiet, I suppose he was thinking.
"It was a memory from when I was six." I added.
Fox finally spoke. "What was in it?" he asked.
I looked at him "just of me and my parents going to CiCi's pizza..." I said quietly.
Fox went quiet once again.
"It's probably nothing..." I said quickly, tryig to get he subject off of his mind. "Karie's still in bed. Maybe we could go to the library? There are a few books I've been wanting to read..."
Fox nodded. "that's fine but we need to get dressed first." he smiled.
I quickly downed the rest of my coffeee and ran into the master bedroom. Opening the huge closet, I grabbed a pair of black ripped skinnies (skinny jeans), a bra of course, and my favorite Black Veil Brides shirt, which had Ashley Purdy's face on the front and "Purdy Girl" on the back. I ran towards the bathroom to change but was stopped by Fox. I hadn't noticed him following me.
My face bumped into his chest and I laughed. "Fox." I said quietly, looking up at his face. he had a big grin plastered onto his face. He planted a kiss on my cheek before scooting aside, allowing me to pass.
"don't take too long." he joked, shutting the door before I could. I smiled before setting my clothes on the bathroom sink along with a towel. I jumped into the shower and began thinking about the memory.
**********
I turned off the water and pulled back the shower curtain. I grabbed the towel and dried off, wrapping the towel around me, before reaching for my clothes. I looked down at where I had left themM only to find they weren't there.
"Fox...?" I said.
He was soon on the opposite side of the door. "yeah?" he asked.
"where are my clothes?" I asked, cracking the door open slightly.
Fox stood there with a big grin on his face, holding my clothes. "Fox." I said a little serious.
Fox backed away as I tried to reach for them.
"hm. No." he grinned.
"Give me my clothes." I said, trying not to laugh.
Fox shook his head. "come and get them!" he laughed, running into the livingroom. I rolled my eyes and ran after him, the towel wrapped tightly around me.
About twenty minutes passed and I finally managed to get my clothes back. I was now dressed and ready to go. Fox still needed a shower.
I rolled my eyes when he passed me to go take a shower. "hurry up!" i called after him, hearing the door ti the bathroom shut.
I waited for him by switching on my laptop and scanning through Facebook. "nothing new.." I muttered.
