Fox appeared behind me as I was scanning Craigslist and looking at puppies.
"Whatcha doin?" He asked, shaking his wet hair like a dog and getting me wet.
"FOX!" I said, jumping up.
Fox laughed.
I rolled my eyes and switched off my laptop. "I was waiting on you." I smiled, plantiny a ginger kiss on his lips.
Fox smiled and returned the kiss before I broke away to grab my purse. "Are we leaving Karie here?" he asked me.
I had forgotten about my little sister asleep in the other room. "Ima leave her a note. Do you want to go and start up the car?" I asked, digging around in my purse, producing the keys.
Fox took the keys and kissed me again before leaving the apartment to start the car. I found a peice of paper and a pen and quickly wrote a note for Karie.
'went out. Be back later today. There are lunches in the fridge. Love ya'
I placed the note on the kitchen counter before hurrying out the front door to join Fox in the car. I made sure to shut the door quietly on the way out and smiled at Fox who was sitting in the truck. yes. a truck.
I climbed into the passenger seat and smiled as I shut the car door.
"Where to?" he asked, looking at me.
I finished buckling my seat belt and looked at him. "breakfast then Barnes and Nobles?" I offered.
Fox flashed a smile before backing out if the space. "I'm set on IHOP" he smiled, turning onto the main road.
"That'll work." I agreed, playing with the radio. 'I Write Sins Not Tragedies' was playing. "oh I love this song!" I squealed, turnig the radio up and singing along. Fox laughed and shrugged, joining in as well.
We pulled up to Ihop and sat down. Fox ordered the Rudy cakes and I opted with french toast. After the waitress left, Fox smiled at me. I had my hand on my face boredly.
"You sure are beautiful." he said, brushing away a few strands of hair that was on my face. I blushed, smiling at him. We had been together for almost a year now and he was bassically my life.
"and you my friend, are my Fallen Angel." I smiled, referring to Fallen Angels by the Black Veil Brides. Fox smiled.
a few minutes passed and the waitress came baxk with our breakfast.
"thank you." I said quietly.
the waitress left and we were enjoying our breakfast when my phone started singing 'the Beautiful People' by Marilyn Manson. Setting down my fork, I answered it.
"Hello?" I said, not even bothering to look who it was. I didnt get a reply. "heLLo?" I repeated. still no answer so I hung up.
"who was that?" Fox asked, swallowing Rudy Cakes eye.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I dont know. maybe it was a wrong number" I said, continuing to eat my breakfast.
******
We had finished breakfast and were now on our way to Barnes and Nobles. Fox reached over and messed with the radio, which was currently on Country. I hate country. He changed it to rock and metal and I looked at him, smiling.
"I was about to die. Love you!" I joked, kissing his cheek.
Fox laughed as we pulled into a space at Barnes and Nobles. We got out of the truck and walked inside. I was stunned at how much had changed since last time I was here.
"Do you think Chisamea is here?" I asked. I was hoping to see my best friend.
Fox shook his head. "its tuesday. she's off today remember?"
Oh yeah, thats right. I frowned in disapointment. "eh, I guess ill text her later." i said.
