Ch 21; Laura's Story
Hey! My name's Laura Marano. I'm an actress, singer, and writer. I play 'Ally Dawson' on a Disney show called 'Austin & Ally'.
Actually, my co-star; the 'Austin' to my 'Ally', is at my house right now. He's a really sweet guy- a bit full of himself at times, but not in a cocky way. He's having a bit of a dispute at the moment though- or so I hear. All I was told was to pick him up at his house and bring him here, and when I did, he said he didn't want to talk about it right away (whatever 'it' is). Mom's setting up his room now, and I'm just, well, I'm just sitting here I guess.
My first thought is to call Riker. Riker's a very close friend of mine- oh, and he's Ross' older brother. If anyone knows what's going on with Ross, it's him. Riker's really sweet too, but can be just a tad indecisive. Oh, I wish that boy would just fess up to his feelings and speak his mind for once! Not that I ever mind listening to his rants, but I feel bad after a while. I have a few problems of my own in the field of decision making I suppose, but I'd rather not talk about it.
No answer from Riker's phone, and I press 'end' on my screen. I wonder if he's mad at Ross, and that's why Ross has to be here; so they don't fight. Last I heard Ross and Riker were getting along just fine, but knowing how fickle Riker can be, there's no telling if those boys got in a scrap!
Yeah- I know I said they're both sweet boys, but when it comes to one-another the topic is a bit, well, it's like TV static. No one really knows what's going on behind those black-and-white scribbles bumping around the screen, trying to find some order to portray a clear image, but we keep watching because we know there's a story to be told behind all that static. And Ross and Riker's story is a beautiful sonata of love and happiness, just waiting for the world to discover! People could take a lesson from Riker Lynch. His feelings for Ross are a living example of the direction this world is going towards; all love with consent to be accepted. That may sound 'gross' or 'wired' or 'wrong' or whatever with the two being related, but if anyone knew them like I do, they'd realize Ross and Riker's relationship is so much more than the petty things that most people seem to engourge themselves in.
Ross trudges in, and he finally explained exactly what had happened between him and Riker. At this point, I almost wish it was a fight that they'd gotten in to. Once he's finished with his story, I sigh. Ross was leaning on the headboard of my bed, and I move closer to him, and rest my chin on his shoulder. "It's going to be okay. You and Riker will get through this- you always do."
He scoffs. "That's funny."
"You will Ross, I promise. You shouldn't even think that you won't."
"No, it's not that." He says. "It's just that Rydel said the exact same thing to me yesterday."
Oh.
"Are you dating my sister?"
I instantly move off of him. "Ross, I highly doubt that's important right now, don't you think that-"
"Ratliff thinks you are, and I know Rydel's seeing some girl. So, is it you Laura? Are you dating Rydel?"
I take a deep breath, and answer on the exhale. "Sorta." He doesn't say anything after my ambiguous response. "Don't worry about the 'me and Rydel' drama right now though, alright? Let's talk about what's going on with you and Riker."
He falls backwards on my bed. "I just wanna go back in time and not get caught. Even if that means not having sex. I just want him to hold me and for everything to be okay."
There's a knock at my door.
"Come in!" I call, and mom walks in.
"How are you two doing?" She asks.
