"Why does he call you that?" Himuro inquires.

"Hamu-chan is short for hamster," you say rolling your eyes; annoyed.

"Why hamster?"

"Cause she looks like one when she eats," Atsushi drawls.

[HUFF] "Don't tell people that, Atsushi! And don't laugh," you whine at a chuckling Himuro.

"Fine, I'll call you Usa-chin."

"Short for usagi?" Himuro manages to ask in between snickers of laughter.
You glare at Mu-kun.

"Nya-chin?" Murasakibara suggests.

"No. Just call me by my name Atsushi."

"Yada, it's not cute. I'll call you Nya-chin."

You're speechless at his childish defiance.

"Nya?"

"Nyasa; the marshmallow, cause her body is soft, and plumpy," he says dreamily.

"Ohh," Himuro taunts, a large grin plastered on his face.

You blush; hiding your face behind your sandwich. 'How is he not embarrassed saying these things?!'

[BELL RINGS]

"Atsushi, let's hang out after school today."

"Can't, practice."

"It's exam season, 3rd years aren't allowed to participate in clubs."

"I'm practicing with Muro-chin."

"Yeah, the teachers gave up on Atsushi accomplishing anything in academics."
You laugh, even more so when the foul-tempered Atsushi throws a wrapper at Tatsuya.

"Well, let's change practice into a study group and prove them wrong."

"Nah."

"Come on Atsushi. You'll never know unless you try."

"Bye [NAME]-chin."

Murasakibara walks away, ending the conversation.
Normally you wouldn't deem this behaviour as suspicious since exams were coming up, but he had been avoiding one-on-one time with you for almost a month now and you didn't know why.

LATER THAT DAY [LOCKERS]

Skulking around the corner you wait for Murasakibara to enter the locker room and then pounce; blocking Himuro's path.

"We need to talk."

"Can it wait until after I've showered?"
