Hollyleaf's tale.

Chapter 2 ~ Friends? ~

   Hollyleaf opened her eyes, her eyes still burning from the smoke she escaped. Hollyleaf was weak from running all night, but she finally found a small den where she could rest. It was early noon when she woke up, she felt starved she didn't eat much food throughout the trip, and she didn't get to eat yesterday either because of the fire. "I must find something to eat." She told her self. Hollyleaf walked out of her den and sniffed the air, she could still smell some smoke in her fur Hollyleaf gave out a sigh. " What does it take to get out the smell? "She asked her self. Suddenly Hollyleaf heard a yip. " A fox? " In the distance, she could see a little fox far away leaping at the ground. " It is a fox! " Hollyleaf ran towards the fox when she was about three yards away suddenly a larger fox leaped out of nowhere and hissed at Hollyleaf.

Hollyleaf quickly backed off and gave a soft low growl. " didn't mean any harm." said Hollyleaf. " I don't care! " snapped the fox, then continued. " She is part of our pack and we don't take any risk of losing a pack member! " "But I said I don't mean harm-" " Silence! " yipped the fox. " Just because a wolf would say he, or she means no harm does not mean that it's true! " the small fox started to talk softly " Marc it's okay-" " No it's not! " Interrupted the large fox ( Marc ) " Don't you remember what happened to the last pack Alpha?! " " ...Yes... " Said the small fox in a soft quiet voice. " Now no more excuses! We must bring you back to pack territory. " Marc started to walk off, the small fox slowly turned around and headed for Marc, she gave one last look at me then said softly- " I know you meant no harm. " " Lilu! " Called Marc with an expression of anger on his face. " Coming! " the little fox ( Lilu ) Yipped back. " Sorry. " Lilu said as she returned to Marc's side. Hollyleaf watched as Lilu and Marc walked off down the hill. " there goes a fox who looked like a great friend. " Sighed Hollyleaf.

Hollyleaf found a perfect place to hunt it was filed with small pray and a few larger ones. Hollyleaf picked to hunt down a raccoon. " Raccoons can be fierce but I think I can take it down." "Don't be so sure about that." said a voice from the trees. "Huh? Who's there?" Asked Hollyleaf. "Me." said the voice. Hollyleaf looked up and saw a white and very light olive wolf on a tree branch. Hollyleaf watched also as a dark brown and light gray wolf stood next to the branch where the white wolf was. "Who are you two?" Asked Hollyleaf. " I am Eva." She answered in a calm smooth voice. " And this is my brother Dylan. " Said the white wolf than continued...

"And you are?" She asked. "..Huh? Oh, I am Hollyleaf." " So what pack do you belong to?" Asked Eva. "Pack? I-I Don't have one.." Said Hollyleaf with a look of disappointment. "Oh." Said Eva, looking a little concerned for Hollyleaf. "Well...We are from The Neptron pack." Said Eva. Hollyleaf's eyes lit up as she heard those words. "Th-The Neptron pack?! You guys are like top pack around here! I've heard so much about you!" Said Hollyleaf in a very excited voice. "Yup, and I'm sure our Alpha will let you in!-" Said Eva continuing. ( Also while Hollyleaf started talking ) || ( Eva ) ~>" So if you come with us we can take you to the pack territory and..." <~ ( Hollyleaf ) ~> "I can't believe that you two are in The Neptron Pack!" <~ || "Yes and if you ask our Alpha I am sure you can get in after the tests." Again repeated Eva. "Really?!" Asked Hollyleaf. "Yes."  "Thank you so much!"-"Don't thank us yet, your still not in. And if you do join you should thank our Alpha." Eva told Hollyleaf. "Well yeah, but you gave me the offer for it." "Maybe but our Alpha gave you the spot. Anyways you were planning to hunt a raccoon right?" Asked Eva. "Yeah I was, why?" Eva swished her tail in front of her pointing to the raccoon running away. "Oh great," Said Hollyleaf. "Don't worry we'll help" Said Eva smiling, Eva turned to her brother who was standing there with a normal face on. Eva bumped him with her shoulder instantly he smiled. "Yeah, we'll help!"  He said still smiling. Eva shook her head while smiling at her brother. "Friends?" Eva asked Hollyleaf with her paw extended out towards Hollyleaf. Hollyleaf extended her paw on to Eva's. "Friends." Said Hollyleaf in the agreement of friendship.
