Hollyleaf's tale.

Chapter 5 ~ Trouble ~

Hollyleaf was eating away at the raccoon while Eva and Dylan were talking. when Hollyleaf finished she rinsed her muzzle off. Shae glared at the water and saw leaves and flowers floating among the water. > I wonder what would happen if I took one of the ten leaves or all of them, would I get powers? < Hollyleaf thought. Suddenly water drops fell into the water making drip waves. It was raining!

the rain started to pound harder. "We should probably go," Eva said. with that they left, they ran off running under the tree to tree trying to keep as dry as possible. soon they took a break from running, right under the last tree before the fennec field started.

"Okay after the fennec field it will be the next forest. By the way, Hollyleaf what where are you doing so close to human territory?" Asked Eva. "Human territory? I didn't know I was that close to human territory." "well not that close, but you were close to the near fields, you know, the small fields that are really close to human territory." "Oh, well I just ran and ran until I reached the forest I was in." Said Hollyleaf. "Oh, who where you running from?" Hollyleaf looked at the ground then slowly told Eva the story. - " ... I knew something was going on, I wish I arrived sooner..." Hollyleaf held back her tears trying to control her emotions. " I'm so sorry about that." Said Eva in an upset tone of voice. Suddenly Hollyleaf heard something, she quickly turned her head around and saw the little fox again. "It's Lilu!" Shouted Hollyleaf. "Lilu?"Eva asked. "Yeah! It's a fox I saw earlier I didn't really get to talk to her because another fox named Marc got in the way." Hollyleaf ran towards Lilu happy to see her. "Lilu! It's me Hollyleaf!" "Hollyleaf? It's you?!" "Yes! The wolf you saw earlier was me!" "Hi, Hollyleaf!" Lilu greeted. "Hey!" "Sorry we didn't get to talk earlier," Lilu said in disappointment. "It's okay. besides, it wasn't your fault. Marc was the one who pulled us away." Replied Hollyleaf. "Yeah, Marc is always looking after me, making sure I don't do anything like talk to a wolf. But my parents said that I could go out of pack territory without Marc following me everywhere." Said Lilu. Hollyleaf gave a little laugh then started to talk. "So, I was wondering, if you maybe, what to be friends?" "Sure!" Said Lilu with bright opened eyes. Hollyleaf loved that look on Lilu's face she looked absolutely adorable!

"I don't think so!" shouted a voice behind Lilu. "This fox is not going to be friends with wolves! especially ones like you!" Said the she-fox turning to Hollyleaf. "And what is so wrong about me?" Snapped Hollyleaf. "Oh, I don't know, maybe because you are a wolf! And you are a black pelted wolf! Black wolves are dangerous! Never ever trust a black wolf!" "It's okay Sophia, Hollyleaf is my friend, and she is nice!" Said Lilu. "No Lilu! Wolves cannot be trusted! Remember what-" "-The other black wolf did to our last leader?" Asked Lilu, interrupting Sophia halfway in her sentence. "Yes." Answered Sophia then continuing. "Listen, Lilu. I'm your only friend take my advice and never listen to this dark wolf EVER AGAIN!" "Hollyleaf is my friend! I won't ignore her." Said Lilu. Sophia growled loudly "Leave my friend alone!" yelled Sophia madly turning to Hollyleaf. "No!" "NO?" hissed Sofia. "I'm Lilu's only friend-" Said Hollyleaf.  "ONLY FRIEND! I'll show you her only friend! ME!" With that Sophia leaped at Hollyleaf then tried to bite her ear but missed. Hollyleaf leaped out of Sophia's way making her fall to the ground but she quickly got back up. Eva leaped in between Hollyleaf and Sophia trying to break up the fight. "Sophia stop this is going to get you anywhere!" "No! You stop!" "No, you stop Sophia." Said a new voice. A Fennec Fox Stood in behind Sophia. "Huh? Ugh, what?" Asked Sophia turning around, then Sophia saw the fennec fox. "Wait? What!? A fennec fox? Here!?" "Actually I'm not a fennec fox, I'm a Sarna-fennec-fox." "W-Well, you have no right to talk to me like that!" Sophia snarled.  "Oh, really?" The little fox gave Sophia a questing look.

"Uh... Yeah!" "You might what to rethink that Sophia." "Oh yeah! What do you know!" Yelled Sophia. "Well I know that you can't convince Lilu to stay away from others if she doesn't want to." the fox said. Sophia growled and opened her mouth. But before Sophia could say anything Lilu spoke first. "She is right Sophia. You can't make me stay away from the wolves, or foxes, or anyone I want to be around. And I think you should make some more friends. Away from me." 'W-what do you mean Lilu?" "I think Lilu means that she will make friends with who she wants, and you should make friends without her." Said the fox. "What? NO! When Lilu and I want to Make more friends then we ALWAYS do it together." Said Sophia. "I thought you said Lilu only had one friend. You." Said Hollyleaf making straight eye contact with Sophia.  Sophia, realizing her mistake quickly changed her expression. "Well. I mean, she really doesn't make more friends she just, talks to them. We are just being nice. And maybe, who knows, maybe she will make more friends. If I allow it." "What!? If you ALLOW it?" Hollyleaf was shocked. If she allowed it? What was she doing to poor Lilu? Imprisoning her? "Yeah! I mean a friend can't let another friend make more friends if the other friend doesn't agree. Right?" "No!" Hollyleaf said. "I think you should get back to your pack Sophia. You don't what to miss the hunt, do you?" Asked Lilu. "Oh, no I don't! Thanks for reminding me Lilu! Oh, And you two! STAY AWAY FROM LILU!" Yelled Sophia at Hollyleaf and the new fox. "Ahem, the hunt?" Said Lilu. "Yeah, Sophia don't miss it!" Said the fox. "Be quiet!" Yelled Sophia as she trotted off...
