Chapter 5

IT'S FINALLY FRIDAY!!!!! It's party day! I woke up and took a shower then threw on an outfit. I just put on some leggings and a tshirt. I woke Chres up and he got in the shower. I walked downstairs and woke everyone up. I made a bowl of cereal and sat at the table and ate. Everyone came into the kitchen and made a bowl of cereal. After I ate I went up to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I put my shoes on and grabbed my keys.

"Ready?" I asked. They all nodded and we got in the car after locking the house.

We got to school and we all walked to our lockers. I could already feel today would be a slow day. I was shutting my locker when I felt someone behind me. I turned around and saw this dude I didn't know.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"You know Roc?" He asked.

"Who?" I asked. Chres came running up to me. He grabbed me and looked at me.

"Go to class. Now," He said.

"Chres why?" I asked.

"NOW," He said.

"Kat you to," Jacob said.

"Tae get them out of here please," Chres said. Tae grabbed me and Kat and we went to class but I kept looking back at Chres. It was so weird. It's like I watched his personality change as I walked away. I couldn't even pay attention in class because of it. I was just worried and I know I worry too much but I can't help it.

Seventh period finally came around but Chres wasn't in class. I decided to text him to check on him.

Sky: Chres where are you?

Chres: Don't worry about me right now. Pay attention in class. I'll see you at the end of the day

I put my phone away and tried to focus in class but I couldn't really. Eighth period came around and I still couldn't focus. It was finally over and I rushed out of class and Chres was standing right there. 

"Where's Jacob?" I asked.

"He's getting Kat," He said. He grabbed my hand once he saw Kat and Jacob and walked me out of school.

"Unlock the car," He said. I unlocked in and he opened the passenger side door.

"Get in. Let me drive home," He said.

"You guys have practice Chres," I said.

"Shit I forgot. Drive to the back parking lot. Come up to the field. You're not sitting in the car," He said. 

"Chres what's wrong?" I asked.

"Just do what I say," He said shutting the door and walked me over to the driver side. I did exactly what he said. I parked the car and me and Kat walked up to the field. Coach wouldn't let us leave his side. I was so confused but I knew I couldn't ask Chres until afterwards. 

Practice was finally over. Chres and Jacob walked us back to the car.

"Get in the car and lock the door. I'll be out in two minutes. Don't open the doors or roll the windows down. If someone comes up to you honk the horn," Chres said.

"Okay," I said. Him, Jacob, and Tae walked into the locker room and me and Kat sat in the car.

"What's going on Sky? Why are they acting like this?" Kat asked.

"I have no idea. I asked Chres how him and Jacob met and he told me he'll tell me after tonight's party," I said. I looked over and saw the guys walk out of the locker room. I unlocked the doors and Chres opened the driver door.
