A little girl.
I had a daughter.
Who is now an hour old.
"We need to name her, Ricky.." Gee says, looking up at me.
"I've got a few names..." I confessed
"As have I" She tells me.
"Mine are:
Poppy
Shaia
Kaiden
What are yours?" I asked her.
"Oh, I have Elodie.." She says, smiling.
"Well, we have four names to discuss then.." I smiled.

I walked over to the window, holding my baby girl in my arms.
"Welcome to the world, Shaia Elodie Wilson." I whispered. "Sometimes, it's a scary place but you don't need to worry about that just yet. You have a very special mummy who loves you with all her heart. And me? Well I promise you that I will try to be the best dad I can be. I love you so much already, splodge.." I shed a few tears.
Shaia began to stir as I placed her back in to her temporary cot.
I kissed her forehead and whispered three simple words.
"I got you."
