Its Totally Awkward Loving You

One of two things are going to happen at this barbeque.

Teddy is going to hell for murdering Tom.

I'm going to go bald by the end of this thing.

Annnd my mom and Mr. Davies are going to end up some screwing. Not that I mind, at least they're getting somewhere. And I don't need that shitty step dad any more.

Ok so that was three things but still. Anyways, I'm saying this because about half of the party is happy because its most of the neighborhood in Kuyler backyard.

And the other half are suicidal, me included because I can't take the tension!

"This is awful" I say to Olivia and she nods taking a swig on her lemonade. "I know, I wish Teddy would forgive Tom already."

Oh that would be the day, but I have to admit; its really funny watching Tom squirm for forgiveness from Teddy. He's been pouting the entire time.

"Wow this is such a cool shindig" Stephan says sarcastically and I sigh but he just laughs at me "Can you at least try to be a functioning member of society?" Stephan shrugs

"I can but being a rebel is fun" What a typical answer expected from him.

"Let's dance." He says suddenly out of the blue and I just stare at him.He was being completely serious. Then I see Kuyler looking over at us, he was looking over to see what my choice was dammit.

I really don't know what to do.

"Are you asking me or telling me?" I say making him smirk and pull me into the center where a lot of other people are dancing as well. "A little of both" I smirk and begin to dance with him.

It was a family and neighborhood party so of course we couldn't do anything crazy like twerking on headtops or anything.

But just moving along to the beat of the music was good too.

"Don't you have some moves?" Stephan says pulling my body closer with a seductive smile and I raise and eyebrow with a smirk.

"I should say the same to you white boy" And he laughs at me.

"I'm half Italian cupcake"

I smile more at him.

"I know what you are."

We danced for a couple of songs then I went over to talk to Teddy who was having a conversation with a guy named Ryan who was openly gay at our school and it made him pretty popular.

They were laughing at a joke Ryan just told I guess and Teddy playfully hit Ryan on then shoulder.

I don't know why but I had this feeling to look over my shoulder so I did and my jaw dropped.

Tom was literally emanating anger at the two..hold on, why is he so upset that..

OH MY GOD.

Where's Olivia. I look left and right desperately to find her.

My mom is over by the pool spending most of her time with Mr. Davies which is really cool but it makes me uncomfortable because that's Kuyler's dad and Mr. Davies is like a dad to me.

It makes it sound like me and Kuyler are brother and sister and I'm not a fan of incest hunty.

I see Oliva bickering with Stephan again and I pull her away quickly making her drop her lemonade. "Yo, what the hell-

"Tom is in love with Teddy" I state quickly

She blinked a few times before my words rushed over her like a running wave. "No freaking way, Tom is..Tom. And Thomas is straight." she said in conclusion and I turn her head towards Teddy and Ryan

Then switch it to Tom and she looks back at me with a wide smile. "Tom is in love with Teddy!" she fangirls and I try to quiet down her giggling. "I know you dweeb! But remember Teddy hates Toms guts.."

That was probably the only problem.

That an we don't know if Teddy is gay or not. Sure he's talking to Ryan but everyone does, its not an uncommon thing to chat with a friend and not be attracted to them.

But that arm slap doe..

"So can you dance with me or do you just do those things with Stephan?" An amused voice says and I see Kuyler smiling making me do so too.

"Oh hey, well he wanted to dance so we did. He didn't ask me to marry him or something" I said a little nervously because it that didn't sound as disgusting and revolting as I thought it would.

"Fair enough, let's go beautiful."

And now I can officially die happy because Kuyler Davies told me I'm beautiful.

I blush and nod following him to the center. It was a slow song so I grabbed onto his shoulders and he did the same to my waist. We gently and rhythmically moved to the melody.

"I wish I was the only one who could see how pretty you are." Kuyler says gently. God his eyes are mesmerizing.

I grin a bit, the. bit my lip.

"Um Kuyler?"

"Yes?"

There's something that's been on my mind for a few days. I didn't want to think so much about it but it was unavoidable.

"W..why do you like me?"

He looked down at me in surprise by my question. But I'm serious. He didn't notice me before but now that Stephan has come into the picture.

Its totally awkward loving him.

"I guess there's so much to like, your kindness, how eager and determined you always are. Your baby face and your always there for friends..I heard about the Tom and Teddy thing from Olivia" He breaths out a laugh and I giggled.

"Kuyler can I ask another question?"

He laughed harder

"Why don't we just make it to 21?" I shook my head with a grin "Nah this is the last one I promise."

"Then ask away Naomi"

"Umm..is it possible that you only like me because Stephan said he likes me?"

Then the song stops and I let go of him. This has really bothered me.

Kuyler still hasn't answered me and he has this conflicted look on his face, like he can't decide what to say. I nod my head.

I knew that he wouldn't just want me out of the blue like that. It was because Stephan was here, he wanted to beat Stephan at something so bad that he had to get me too.

He took advantage of my love for him.

"I think I should leave now"

"No, Naomi-"

"Its fine Kuyler. Bye." I say quickly and go through the house and through the front door.

I loved him for so so long and the one time he decodes to pay attention to my feelings is to get back at someone.

Its like he threw a hammer at my chest and my hear just shattered.

I was going to walk home but when I got to the front lawn I my face was already covered in tears, Stephan was waiting for me to dry them.

"Don't worry baby, its ok" I was crying hysterics on Stephan's shirt, I'd have to wash it for him later.

"I really..liked him" I hiccupped and he stroked my hair calming me down and cooing sweet nothings to me. "Like I said, don't mess with whiny superstars who don't notice you.." Stephan said pulling my chin so my eyes meet his.

"And come to super cool bad boys that do" He smiles genuinely at me wiping another stray tear and I sniff. "Do you know any super cool bad boys?" He laughed aloud at this one and licked his cherry lips.

"Just one"

And once again, Stephans lips were on mines. But this time..I didn't want him to stop.
