Chapter One

M/H hello fellow gays, I'm sorry if this chapter is a bit short, it's kinda just an intro of Emma's life and how she's feeling and battling her depression

The summer days that are usually so hot aren't anymore. I feel cold, I shiver at the thought of being happy.
Ever since fifth grade it's been hard to wake up, and If I do it's past noon, I drown in the sweat from my hoodies that hide my bloodied wrist.
Everyday is a harder battle to survive, people always say that change is what make people happy. People tell me to talk to someone, take a walk. But that's not how depression works, one word can turn into a thousand thoughts. A thousand thoughts can turn in a painful action. I feel so alone in this bright world that people see, and when you're alone everything seems darker and gloomier, and sometimes you feel like this life you're living, isn't worth living. Which is why I don't try. Not like I used to.

5:30am and I groggily get out of bed to start my day. It's my first day back to school since summer ended and I am dreading this year.
I moved away from my home town about two years ago, so I guess you could say I've made some new friends here in California, but none of them I'm close enough to share my thoughts and how I feel and my self harm...

The bus ride to school is the same as every other school year. I always sit in the very back that way no one pays any mind to me. Not that anyone ever does, I mean who would want to talk to a girl who always has her earbuds in and ignores the world?
The first day of school is boring as always, teachers go over the student hand book, they go over old techniques we did last year. You know, the usual.
After a long day of boring ass school I go home, and right when I do I wish I never did. My mother hassles me and yells at me. Through all the pressure from school, friends and family. Life becomes kinda unbearable, but I push through everyday in hopes it'll get better.
