The five friends arrived at the basement despite the amount of ghosts that were in the long hallways. Thankfully, they didn't find any signs of hauntings while going down the stairs. "This place seems like a horror movies just took a dump in here." Riley remarked while filming the damp and dark room.

"Let's just get this over with so we can leave this place!" Quentin ordered. He was like the leader of the group at this point and no one seemed to care.

Cassie took a seat on a metal table that was probably used for lobotomies and Faith raised an eyebrow at the blonde. "What are you doing?"

The blonde shut her eyes. "I'm meditating to keep the spirits away."

Riley rolled her eyes and sighed loudly. "You're not just gonna sit on your ass without helping. If you don't do a damn thing, we will leave you here to be the spirits' personal bitch!" She winked at her best friend and Cassie immediately jumped off the table.

Faith chuckled and stepped closer to her boyfriend. "If by any chance we leave this asylum, I promise to lose my virginity to you." She whispered.

Quentin smiled at the brunette. "I can't wait." He whispered back and the two smiled at each other before going through the many cabinet files.

"Okay, what exactly is a lobotomy?" Cassie asked while holding an old notebook.

Dylan glanced at the blonde girl and furrowed his eyebrows. "It was a fucked up way doctors found to heal some mental patients. Basically, they cut parts of the brain and it had really disturbing side effects." He turned back and then looked at Cassie again. "Why?"

Cassie shrugged and closed the notebook. "Because, apparently, some doctor was doing lobotomies to patients from the criminal insane ward." She explained nonchalantly.

The black haired boy slapped his forehead in frustration. "Why didn't you lead with that?" He walked towards the blonde and snatched the notbook from her tiny hands.

"You are a very strange guy." She remarked before searching for something else.

Faith turned to the group with a file in hand. "Guys! I found Clarissa's file. Her full name was Clarissa Beth Clementine and she was institutionalized in 1963 at the same time Doctor Fitzgerald was assigned here." She glanced around the group. "He was her doctor from the start."

Dylan took a step forward and looked at Faith. "Is there a mention to a little girl?" He asked intrigued by the revelation.

The brunette searched frantically through the file and then nodded. "It says here that Clarissa drowned her daughter after the tragic death of her mother, claiming the little girl was possessed by the devil."

Riley's eyes widened. "What about Clarissa's husband?" Everyone looked at her in confusion. "In the video, Clarissa asks her daughter to say hello to her dad. I bet the man behind the camer was Clarissa's husband and the little girl's father."

"Or it was Fitzgerald himself." Quentin stated and then showed a picture to the group. "Look at the description." He suggested.

Riley grabbed the picture and furrowed her eyebrows. "Clarissa and Oliver Fitzgerald." The five friends examined the picture carefully. The image of a smiling Clarissa and a happy Doctor Fitzgerald made them all gasp in shock.

Dylan widened his blue eyes and stared at Riley. "Fitzgerald was Clarissa's husband. It all makes sense now!" He pulled out the ring from earlier. "CF stands for Clarissa Fitzgerald, her married name. She was sentenced to spend the rest of her life here so Fitzgerald, being a good husband, transfered here so he could take care of his wife, the only family he had left."

"What about the little girl? She didn't die here so why is her spirit haunting this asylum?" Faith asked.

Cassie sighed and folded her arms over her chest. "Her mother killed her. If I were a vengeful spirit I would follow the person responsible for my death and haunt the crap out of them." The group shot her weird looks. "What? I keep it real." She flipped her hair and returned to her research.

Riley decided to ignore the blonde's weird comments and tried to open a drawer but it wouldn't budge. "Fuck! This drawer is locked."

"I got this!" Cassie said and pulled a bobby pin from her long blonde hair. After a few seconds, she opened the locked drawer and turned to the group. "Done." She stated before popping her gum as usual.

Faith raised an eyebrow and her blue eyes traveled to the blonde. "Where did you learn that?" She asked amazed and little concerned.

Cassie shrugged as if it was no big deal. "Nick taught me the summer before sophomore year."

The brunette sighed and stepped closer to Cassie. "You miss them, right?"

"I haven't had time to mourn my friends." She gave a puzzled look to Faith. "Ask me again in a few days." The blonde turned around leaving Faith confused. Cassie was the most enigmatic girl in their school despite her popularity. It was like she didn't fit in with anyone except Brittany.

Riley looked through the drawer and found a bunch of old journals, all written by Oliver Fitzgerald. "Jackpot!" The brown eyed girl smiled and grabbed one of the journals. "For the first time in months, I will get to see my dear Clarissa and be near her during these tough times. I swore in front of God that I would stay with my wife no matter what destiny throws at us. She is my light and I cherish every part of her, even her dark side." The teen read out loud.

Quentin looked at Faith. "Fitzgerald was really devoted to Clarissa." The brunette nodded, earning a smile from her boyfriend.
