It was another chance at life, another chance to fulfill the dreams i never could, another chance to make my Allah content.
I would never forget the haunting demons of my past, the endless nightmares which caved me in and suffocated the last remaining trust and faith I had...
It had been two weeks since we moved house, me, my mum and two sisters had finally something to look forward to in hope of the future, the house was perfect for us girls. It had three bedrooms, one being a attic room, one living room and a kitchen. It was small but still a miracle sent at just the right time.
I had always been a practicing Muslim and I had always kept trust and Amanah in Allah, every time I felt sore and had lost courage in myself, I would lift my hands up in hope that the Lord almighty would answer my prayers. I was fairly modest in dressing, I would wear loose covered clothing and always wear a headscarf. At the beggining of my life I would push my religion to the side in disgust, I had come to fear my religion and find it irrelevant, but this was something which i had grown up to do, I had been forced to practice my religion through fear.
My name is Jasmine, I'm a 15 year old Muslim British citizen, I was born in England along with my parents however my grandparents are from India. MY mother is a Muslim revert so half my family is Christian. I have long chestnut Brown hair which opposes my fair complexion and Amber Brown eyes. Most of my features come from my beautiful mother who has soft brown hair and piercing green eyes.I'm 5"8 and I have a hourglass figure, I'm immune to fear...
Humble and outgoing is what people would describe me as I hope, I showed no fragility, I was strong in front of my friends,my family, even strangers but was I true to myself?
Let's get back to reality...
I'm currently sitting on my new bedroom floor and I'm so excited! I have a passion for all things design and fashion so decorating my room is going to be one eventful task.
It's a understatement when I say my room is small but I'm thankful and I prefer a cosy and warm room. It's the school holidays so I'm free from boredom and the teachers inconsiderate attitudes for 2 months! I respect school and thoroughly enjoy learning new stuff but I can't stand the indelicate way they approach situations. They have no care in a child's mentall state and expect everything to be perfect all the time.Anyway this is a second chance for me....
