I couldn't sleep, to find out that me and Connor are meeting Haise at the CCG tomorrow, made me so fucking nervous... so I stayed up all night watching YouTube, drinking Coke and for once, coffee.
A few hours later
I went downstairs after finishing watching a film, and found Connor sitting there.
"Hey, it's nearly 9, you ready to go?" I ask him, he doesn't look too happy with all of this...
He didn't say anything but just stood up and walked out.
When we arrived, we were greeted by Haise and he had one of those serious looks on his face.
"Can I ask a quick question please?" I ask
"Sure" Haise replied
"I understand why you asked Connor to join the quinx squad but why me? I'm not a ghoul, hell not even half??"
"I'll explain later" he replied... I'm really worried now.
As we get into the room where meetings happen or something, Haise explains everything.
"So you have to leave your whole life behind. Forget about everyone and everything. I'm sorry but it's standard procedure..." I just sit there looking into space, and I just hear so silently Connor arguing about how he'll have to forget Touka and Hide... I have to forget them too...
"I'll be nice and let you say your goodbyes.. you have until 19:30, I'm sorry. I really am" And then Haise left.
I go to the coffee shop and look at Touka and Hide for a while until I saw it say 19:25 so I ran back to CCG but halfway there I broke down into tears of realisation... I'll never remember Touka and the laughs we had together. I'm gonna miss her so much. Then I hear shouting down the alley.
"NO KANEKI IM NOT LETTING YOU IN!" I walk towards the shouting and see Haise..?
"Haise, are you Kaneki?" I know it's personal but I have to ask.
"Don't you have to be at the CCG by now?!? Go!" He shouts at me, and I run.
As soon as I reach the CCG, Haise is there and he has a sheet of paper with him.
"Here are your rooms for the year." Haise shows us.
Connor and my rooms are next to each other.
"Jade can we talk?" Haise said to me. I look uneasy but I oblige.
"What's wrong?"
"The quinx squad as you know is a force of ghouls...
Well you're going to have to go through the procedure to become one..." he informs me
"No, I'm going home... I'm not going to become one!" I shout and try an storm out but he grabs my arm and stops me.
"IM NOT GOING TO BECOME LIKE HER! let me leave please?" After that I broke down in tears. I don't want to become like Alev, I won't.
"I understand you don't want to, but this is for your own good. Trust me." Haise says
"Fine. But please, don't make me evil." After I say that he just nods and leaves.
'You're going to be like me Jade... you can't stop it. Let me help you. I can show you the way. Just wait until tomorrow. I'm going to be inside your head ruining everything for you. I'm coming for you and everyone you care about. Maybe wiping your memory would be good, for me anyway. I miss you.
