4 weeks later
"So, let me get this straight, there are things called ghouls, you're one and the person that attacked me is called Brooke. Who was my best friend from England... my head hurts" I say in confusion to Touka, and she just laughs.
"Yeah! Basically and we have to eat human flesh and drink coffee to survive. We don't find human food as nice as you think it is." She explains to me.
We sit there talking for hours probably and I see someone familiar walk in, Brooke... I walk up to her and my initiative is to slap her round the face, but instead I just hug her. "I've missed you so much! How? When??!?" I laugh and so does she.
Me Brooke and Touka sit there for ages talking about how Brooke was born a ghoul and so was Touka, also how if Brooke had eaten me, she would've won the fight.
I've just started this job at the coffee shop I used to hate so much, but actually spend a lot of time at.
2 hours later
I was upstairs catching up on homework and also somehow talking to my sister, to see how she's doing... somehow I ended up procrastinating and watched YouTube.
I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Touka and Brooke are ghouls, I'm the only human... shit!
I just realised that the shop was about to open but I heard banging and a male voice.
"Jade! Bring down more coffee beans please?" Touka asked. I just sighed cause I can never be bothered to do that.
I got through the door amazingly..
"Where should I put th- holy shit!!" And I ended up dropping the beans everywhere... but before my eyes, I saw Connor.
