                                                                             ~prologue~

A long time ago, the seven royal families ruled the world quite equally. They were the House of Raventine, House of Manchester, House of Evangelion, House of Hampshire, the Mai Ying Dynasty, the Kanesuke Dynasty, and the Jeong-ju Dynasty. Each had its own number of territories, armies, et cetera, et cetera.

However, there was this sort of tension between the House of Raventine and the Mai Ying Dynasty, the two most powerful of the seven.

Hungry for power, the House of Raventine decided to make a move.

On the day of the arranged marriage of Mai Ying Chunyan and Kanesuke Arisugawa, the marriage that would unite the Mai Ying and Kanesuke Dynasties into one big powerful dynasty was also the day a group of assassins hired by the House of Raventine attacked the ceremony and left the half of the Kanesukes and the whole Mai Ying Dynasty into a bloody coup.

This action sparked up a war.

  A really big one, too.

In response to this action, the Jeong-ju Dynasty, the House of Evangelion, and what was left of the Kanesuke Dynasty, declared war on the House of Raventine and called themselves the “United Forces”.

Battles were fought. Soldiers were lost. The war didn’t seem to go anywhere, either. The only Houses who weren’t affected were the Manchesters and Hampshires.

The United Forces didn’t get any farther, also. Hoping that they would win, they allied themselves with the House of Hampshire.

With the House of Hampshire now in the war, the House of Raventine feared defeat. Queen Gretchen of Raventine seeked help from the House of Manchester, visiting the King and Queen everyday pleading, “Please, help us and we promise to give thou power!” The King finally gave in after a few weeks, but only out of pity.

The Raventines and the Manchesters working together were incredibly powerful. They won more and more battles. The United Forces were afraid they’d lose. The Houses of Raventine and Manchester would rule the world cruelly if they lost.

  One day, however, brought hope.

A peasant blessed with the gift of Seeing from a Jeong-ju territory foresaw a vision, a prophecy saying that a pair of twins born in December would be the key to defeating the Raventines and Manchesters, the key to saving the world. The Raventines heard of this prophecy and decided to give a gigantic reward to whoever kills those pair of twins.

Many years have passed since the prophecy was made. Many people who had tried to find the twins, in hopes of helping them or killing them, gave up.

  But this will all change.
