Alexis pov:
I baked a cake and decorated the house after I came back home from school. I finished everything and went up to my room.
They forbade me from coming out of my room anytime they have a party or anytime another pack come to visit us.
I heard music playing. I have a urge to go down but I don't want to be beaten. Today is the day I meet my mate and my wolf.
I am so scared. I heard from people that the first shift is very painful and you need your mate or the person might die.
If you don't have your mate then your one of your family must be there. My family can't help me since my parents are dead and my siblings are so caught up in their hate for me.
"I really need water" I whispered to myself. "I would just go but I won't allow the see me or I would be beaten and shouted at"
I tiptoed downstairs to the kitchen to take water. I was already thanking the moon goddess that she did not allow me to be caught but I bumped into a chest and fell on my butt.
