[Camreigh]

I followed Liz into the house reluctantly. I didn't know what to expect since I didn't get into trouble often but, if my mothers' face was any indication it wasn't going to be good.

"Were you even thinking?" Dad asked as we all walked into the living room.

"No Phil, they weren't," she added, "obviously."

They began to lay into us on the repercussions of drinking. I was slightly frightened so, I made it a point to listen to every single word they spoke even though my head was throbbing.

"A month. No friends. To and from school and practice. I'm going to find you community service and extra chores to keep you both busy."

"Yes ma'am," both my sister and I sister said.

"Now get to bed the punishment starts bright and early," Mom added before Liz and I got up and trudged upstairs.

We didn't dare to speak or complain. We had this coming and we both knew it. When I got inside my room I threw my phone on my bed before changing into athletic shorts and a t-shirt. I went and washed the makeup off of my face and grabbed some Advil out of the medicine cabinet.

I knew I had a water bottle in my room so I quietly headed back and took the pills since I was definitely going to need them.

[1:24 A.M]
Han: How much trouble did u get in? 😐

Me: One month, no friends, to and from school. Community service and chores.😩

Han: DAMNNNNNN Emily wasn't playin'

Me: Yup FML🤦🏼‍♀️

Me: Gotta get to bed. Punishment starts in the morning😭

Han: Night boo😘

Our mom wasn't kidding when she said that punishment was going to be bright and early. An air horn rudely woke me up and I grabbed my phone to see that it was only 6 in the morning.

I was going to have to survive off of merely 4 hours of sleep. I slipped on a different pair of athletic shorts, a sports bra, and a soccer t-shirt hoping today wouldn't be horrible. I already felt bad enough as it was so, getting punished was the icing on top of the cake.

As I was leaving my room so was Liz. We walked downstairs to face the music together. On the counter was a list of chores for each of us to complete after we had eaten breakfast. I pulled out the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and filled our bowls since everything left my body last night and I was starving.

Liz grabbed out the milk and poured some into each of ours and we ate in silence. My list consisted of cleaning the bathrooms, starting the laundry, cleaning the pool, and taking Riley for a walk. Liz had to clean the kitchen and living room as well as finishing the laundry and folding it all.

I wasn't complaining because I for one hated dishes and for two hated folding laundry. We finished our breakfast and I went to begin the laundry. I collected each basket and took it down into the basement where the washer and dryer were and separated the lights from the darks making special piles for whites and towels. If I had thrown them together I knew my mom wouldn't have been too happy.

I started the first load and then went back upstairs to clean the bathrooms. We had 3 bathrooms in the house. The downstairs one which had only a toilet and sink in it, the family bathroom upstairs that Liz and I shared, and our parents master bath.

Both of our parents went back to sleep after one of them blew the air horn waking us up so, I decided it would be best if I didn't wake them. I got into the linen closet where the cleaning supplies were held and grabbed anything that would be useful. I grabbed new towels as well, changing out the old ones and taking them down into the basement.
