The Proclamation

Ben was looking at the Isle of the Lost, feeling guilty while his tailor was fixing his suit. " Are you sure they'll agree?" he asked Jessica. "Trust me. They will. Have I ever lied to you?" she replied. "I guess not". "Then you can trust me". After they were done talking, Ben's parents came into the room. "How is it that you two will be king and queen soon? You're just children." King Adam said. "Stop exaggerating. They're only 16," replied Belle. "Far too young." "Dad you married mom when you were 28," Ben said. "It was either her or the teapot". Belle gave her husband the death glare. "Kidding". Jessica chuckled but then cleared her throat, signaling Ben that it was time to tell them. "OH! Mom, Dad, I made a proclamation. I'm inviting new kids over here". "Oh!, how wonderful dear. Where are they from"? Ben hesitated for a moment, but then spoke again. "The Isle of the Lost". Ben's parents had a shocked expression on their faces. "It's just that every time I look back there, I feel guilty". Said Ben. "who are their parents?" Belle said, calmly. "Evil Queen, Jafar, Cruella de Vil,", Ben hesitated again. "And Maleficent." he continued, which frightened his parents. "MALEFICENT?! She's the worst villain out there!" Adam roared. "Dad, hear me out-" "I won't hear of it! They're wanted for committing unspeakable crimes!" he shouted. "Don't you think their children should deserve a chance?" Ben exclaimed. " Adam". "I suppose their children are innocent," replied Adam, giving up. "Well done, dears," Belle said to Ben and Jessica. After they walked away, Jessica walked up to Ben. "See? Told ya they'll agree". The night came and all Jessica could think about was her mother. She wondered how she was. If she's feeling a bit better. If she got out of the house. After those thoughts popped into her head, she finally fell fast asleep.
