It was the afternoon and Jessica saw Jay talking to Mal. 'Okay Jess. it's time you tell him the truth. You only get one shot at this, so DON'T MESS IT UP!' she thought. "Hey, Jay." Jessica greeted him. "Go talk to her. I gotta go anyways." Mal told him. Jessica walked to him and that was Mal's que to leave. "Hey Jess." he greeted her back. "Jay um, I need to tell you something," she said. "Yeah"? Jessica took a deep breath. "I have a crush on you," she confessed. Jay was surprised. "Ever since we met, I've always liked you. You comfort me when no else does and when I need it. You're kind, caring, supportive, respectful, and all kinds of amazing". Jessica and Jay both chuckled at that. "And that's what I love about you Jay. you make me laugh. You make me happy. You make me smile by being funny." she finished. Jay smirked at her. "I feel the same way towards you," he said. Jessica smiled at him. They both felt the spark between the two. "So, you wanna go out later on today?" Jay asked her. Jessica's eyes and smile widened with excitement. "Yeah, sure! What time?" she answered. "About 6 or so " Jay replied. Jessica had a stunned expression on her face. "I'd love that," she said. And after that, Jay and Jessica went their separate ways. Jessica found Mal and Evie sitting at the picnic tables and decided to tell them the good news. "Guys guess what?!" she asked with excitement. "What?" Mal asked. "Jay asked me on a date and I finally said yes." Evie and Jessica were squealing with joy. Mal just smirked at her. "Congrats. When is he picking you up?" Mal said. "Around 6," Jessica answered. Evie gasped. "Then you need to get ready quick! I'll help," she exclaimed. Jessica smiled at her. "I'm gonna need all the help I can get," she said. The girls went to her room to get her ready for her date.
